I agree with all the issues you have mentioned. This taking up a lot of extra time. @Allison Cuzzort (Salesforce) There is another issue with this. Here is an example.
The actual question on the screen flow has formatting and quite a few words in it. This is helpful for the screen flow user. Every question I create like this has a short API name to make it easy to find and map to a field in Salesforce.
It used to be the api name that showed up on the right making it quick for me to see the mapping. Now I just see a bit of the question, in this case very unhelpful. It’s more work to check my mappings. On a big screen flow with lots of fields mapping to Salesforce records, this adds a lot of time.
