Email Drip Campaigns

I'd like to suggest taking the campaigns tool one step further, along with being able to have emails sent out automatically based on date, etc. that I've seen in other ideas, I'd like to be able to add leads/contacts to a drip campaign or multiple drip campaigns so they would get a series of emails at specific times. For example:

1. A lead comes in via web-to-lead.
2. automatically gets added to a campaign and an email gets sent out.
3. The campaign has 4 other emails associated with it. The time to send these out is based on the last email that was sent in the campaign. So you could have email 1 same day as lead came in, email 2, 1 week later, etc.
4. As people get added to the campaign, the process starts from the beginning for that person.
5. Once they've gone through the whole campaign, have the choice of any or all of the following, notifying a sales rep, being put into a different drip campaign, just putting them on completed campaign list.

If a lead was put in manually or via import, have the choice of adding them to drip campaign.

On the contact/lead form I envision a related list or something with all the drip campaigns they are associated to, and their status in each campaign.

"Unsubcribe" link directly connected to SFDC servers, updating the blacklist box field of a contact

An unsubscribe link to include in an email sent to a contact.
This would enable a blacklist management directly from SFDC.

Easily installed contact self service for email/mail opt outs

Create either an appexchange package or a "Web-to-Lead" style install process for the following idea:

It would be really great if: Salesforce.com allowed an admin user to easily install or generate HTML for, a web-based solution that allows for Contacts to unsubscribe themselves from your contact list; (i.e. Contact records in SFDC)

The idea here would be that ultimately a link would be used in the footer of all outbound mass-emails to Contacts, to allow them to unsubscribe or in other words activate the "Email-Opt Out" or other custom checkbox within the Salesforce.com records that correspond to the contacts.

This is probably not exactly straightforward but could imagine this could at least be used by leveraging the Web-To-Lead. This would be more of a Web-To-Existing-Contact-Opt Out.

This solution can be done currently through some HTML lifting and integration work...it would be nice if SFDC could find a way to "Salesforce-it" or at minimum provide for the creation of HTML code that can be then sent to internal IT folks to run with.

Calling Salesforce Administrators!!!! Time to Automate the Tedious Maintenance of Salesforce

Have you noticed that SFDC does not have a "Stored Procedure" tool?

I was shocked to learn that my organization has manually processes tasks such as, filling empty fields based on the content of a "key field"

For example, we have a .jpeg for each of our VP's signatures which we merge into our mailings for a personal touch. This field is conditional on the "Contact Owner" field. Thus, each contact must be looked at, edited and saved in order to fill this field.

A possible automation of this process could be a "Stored Procedure" object that would allow a write command to be executed based on the users' parameters at a set time every day.

Currently, this can be done with SQLServer, however this eliminates the benefit of having an online CRM.

If you are not sure what I am talking about, I urge you to vote anyway.
I assure you, when the time comes in your development as a database administrator, you will greatly appreciate this feature.

Thanks for your time,
- J

Get rid of "Sent using Salesforce.com" Signature

Salesforce needs to get rid of the default email signature that is set to display Salesforce.com's signature on emails.

NO CUSTOMER IN THE WORLD wants this signature setup by default. Talk about being customer NON-centric.

The default should be blank.

Auto-complete for Lookups on Recently Used Records

When editing a Lookup field on a record, you would see record names from your cache of recently viewed records for that object that match the string you started typing into the Lookup field.

For example, if you are editing a Contact Lookup field and you start typing "john", all the Contact records that you have recently viewed or edited that begin with the name John would appear in a menu for you to select from.

If the record you want is not available in the auto-complete menu, you can still use the Lookup function to do a more in-depth search to find the record you're looking for.
