Remove pointless messages from exported reports

When I export a report from salesforce for some unknown reason I always find a banner with the name of the report, a copyright message and who the report was generated by.

This spoils what is otherwise a perfectly formed csv or excel data file. Manual editing is required to remove this.

Please can we vote to have an option to remove this. It plays havoc with our reports in sql server!

Thanks.

Exclude report footer when using Export Details to Excel

In reporting, when using the "Export Details to Excel" function, the generated report always contains a multi-line report footer. This footer is useful when reviewing reports in Excel, but it causes issues when you use that Excel file as an import file for another application.

How about a checkbox on the Export screen that you can select to "Exclude report footer"?

Allow Approval Comment merge fields to be used in all approval related emails

The new feature that allows you to use Approval Comment merge fields released in Summer '08 is a good step but it has this very important limitation:

"Note that these approval merge fields will be populated only if the email template you create is used as the approval assignment template. If you use the template for any other email alert action--in either workflow rules or approval processes--the merge fields will return a null value."

These comment merge fields should be available for all approval related email alerts. For example, if a record is rejected you should be able to send an email to the record owner that includes the approver's rejection comments. If it is availble for the assignee emails, it should be available for all other alerts as well.

Apex method to identify salesforce.com server

It would be helpful to have an Apex method that returns the server sub domain (na1, na2, cs1, ap0, etc). When building hyperlinks in the code for either external emails or the comments section of Task, Notes, etc you must hard code the value into your hyperlinks. This makes it difficult for the code to be packaged and scale across different orgs.

Generate CSV files from VisualForce pages

Just like the ability to generate PDFs from VisualForce pages, it would be really nice to be able to generate CSV files from the data that can be collated in a VisualForce page, especially with the new Apex querying capabilities coming in Winter '09. There are several instances where we have wanted to build some very custom reports for clients that the standard SFDC reporting tool couldn't handle, and it would have been nice to be able to generate a CSV file from a VisualForce page to get them the data that they needed.

Sort Order for Tasks on Home Page

Is there a way to change the sort order for Tasks on the Home tab? Currently the oldest display on top. If one has a lot of tasks, then you can't see your most current tasks without scrolling. I would like the option to have the date order reversed, with the most current tasks on top.

New! Custom Report Type: remove standard templates from report wizards

Now that we will soon be able to create our own custom report templates, I'd really like to get rid of some of those currently provided by salesforce.com, especially since they display above of the new templates. Please give us the ability to specify which report templates are available for the users, and which are not.

Dashboard Report Values

We should be able to put any values we want on a dashboard report. Above is an example of the "Wall of Shame" report for my users. I am only allowed to add the user name and a record count value. I would like to be able to put thier name and the last login date...or any other value I choose.
