Basically the shippers require you to submit technical validation that your solution works, however I'm happy to talk about this more with people who are interested.
I checked with Shipping 2.0 and they do not support either UPS or FedEx. We want to be able to integrate with their systems so that the name and address information gets automatically entered into their system. The tracking works fine once the package has been entered, but we want to avoid having to enter the address information manually into their system.

You should already be able to get your shipping addresses merged with the FedEx and UPS websites by making Custom Links on your Page Layouts. Here's an example that tracks a package using it's Tracking Number:

<a href='http://www.fedex.com/cgi-bin/tracking?tracknumbers={!Asset_Tracking_Number}&action=track&language=english&cntry_code=us'>http://www.fedex.com/cgi-bin/tracking?tracknumbers={!Asset_Tracking_Number}&action=track&language=english&cntry_code=us</a>

If you're looking for more advanced integration you might also look at some AppExchange Apps such as Shipping 2.0™: http://www.salesforce.com/appexchange/detail_overview.jsp?id=a0330000002Yt15AAC
