Exception Reports for Campaigns

I think I'm going to merge this idea with
http://ideas.salesforce.com/article/show/10094370/Campaign_Inclusion_Reports

Does anybody prefer this one over the other one as the main idea?
The other one has an idea of the view a user would like to see...

Make ProductOpportunityID Field Available on Opportunity Product Reports

We could add the field. But we get many requests - 100's - to add fields. We could even add all those fields into all the required reports (it would take a while).
But we already have many users who say there are too many fields. Also, to avoid making users make mistakes, new fields have to be added at the end of the lists of fields for that object, so that existing users used to clicking in a certain spot for their fields don't click the wrong field. So the order would be off for your new field - it's not in alphabetical order, or any other.

So we designed Custom Report Types to let you decide what fields go on the report types, so you can make it simple for your users.

Also, to make things simpler for you, there is a blog post about creating this very report type. There is also a package listed at the end with the CRT in it, to which you'll just have to add this one field:
http://blogs.salesforce.com/analytics/2007/10/opportunities-a.html

Allow Reporting on Full Activity History

And as for the year on year and comparison repors that you want to generate, we have 2 features to help you - snapshots of summaries:
http://ideas.salesforce.com/article/show/10089160/Summary_fields_in_Analytic_...
, and comparisons of periods on periods:
http://ideas.salesforce.com/article/show/10094392/Dashbaord_refresh_emails

with these two, you could pre-aggregate the activities on a set of dimensional axes - role, business unit, day, and store how many there were. Then slice and dice in the reports on these summaries (which would also be much, much faster)
