Campaign Inclusion Reports
I want to grab all contacts who are in Campaign A with a certain status, but not in Campaign B and not in Campaign C.
I can't do this right now in standard reporting. Please add this functionality to allow for more sophisticated outreach and messaging.

Enable creation of new categories for new Report Types
New Report Types are more often than not based on new custom objects.
So limiting the storage of such reports within existing object categories or the all-purpose 'Other Reports' category isn't adequate.
So please enable users to create new categories for new Report Types.
You know it makes sense.
Lead Conversion: Automatically set the contact as the "primary contact" of the opportunity
When converting a lead, three records are automatically created:
An account,
An opportunity,
A contact,
The contact should be automatically set as the "primary contact" of the opportunity.
Currently the only link between the opportunity and the contact is the account. This makes any campaign list difficult ot establish

Automate tasks in relation to Campaign members
Give Users (Roles) the ability to assign Tasks "en mass" as follow-up activities to a campaign. These Open Activities would be logged against the Contacts (Members) of a campaign. For example, when a User creates a direct mail campaign consisting of 200 Contacts, he/she can then assign a follow-up call for the Sales Rep who owns those contacts. These follow-up tasks would be listed as Open Activities on all Contacts who are members of the campaign. In short, this allows you to post multiple tasks at once while associating them with specific campaign members.
Convert Lead page customization
When converting a lead, it would be nice if we had the ability to customize the lead conversion page.
Our business process dictates that the Opportunity is not created until after the conversion process and it would be great if we could default the "do not create a new opportunity upon conversion" to checked or remove it altogether from the process.
Additionally if we can enforce the attach to existing policy as opposed to create new OR attach, it would greatly increase data quality.

Enable field Masking for Custom Fields
We should have the ability to define the format of the data will show in on the object record. This should be for custom fields. For example, SSN: xxx-xxx-xxx or custom reference number: xxxx-xxxxxxxxxx.

Multi-select Reporting Capability on Multi-Value Picklist Fields
Please, please, please offer the same value select option for multi-value picklist fields that you offer for standard picklist fields.
Having to rewrite the values is just a pain!
You know it makes sense.
Allow Mass Email/Mail Merge using the results of a report
It would be really useful to be able to Mass email / mail merge to the results of a report.
This would allow contacts to be emailed that are linked to custom objects. At present you cannot create a contact view via mass email that allows you to access related objects other than account.
Find Duplicates Button without "Delete Leads" permission
"The Button ""Find Duplicates"" on a Lead is extremly useful to find existing contacts/accounts/opportunities. In case of existing accounts, this is the best way to find the account owner to whom the lead should be routed to.
However, you can only use this button if you have Delete permissions for Leads. We never give our users permissions to delete Leads to avoid misuse. But the functionality of this button should still be available by making the "Find Duplicates" button independent from the "Delete Leads" permission.

Custom Field Template Improvement
When you are adding a new field to an object such as Leads, it should give you check boxes on that initial screen so that you could go ahead and build the same custom field on the other objects in one step. For instance, I want to add favorite color as an info field on leads and want that to convert over to both the contact and opportunities objects, I could just select the contact and opportunities field when creating the custom field for leads.

Display STATE field + individual address field controls PLEASE
With many European locales (Switzerland / German), German, Austrian etc, the STATE field is not shown when editing an address (all addresses).
This field, in many cases, is also required here in EU.
Certain locales (US, UK etc), show the field, but then the number & date formats are changed. There is no Locale setting possible which keep Swiss / German formats & has STATE visible.
STATE is available on filters and reports, but not on the page layouts.
This has been escalated to SFDC support, with the feedback that it's not possible and the suggestion to create a custom field. (makes no sense).
AND
Please allow for individual field controls for all Address fields (page layouts etc). This would solve everything.

map custom lead fields to standard contact fields
I'd really love to map custom lead fields "Department" and "Parent" to their equivalent standard fields on contacts. Or please add these as standard fields to leads...
