Allow triggers and workflows on snapshot target objects
Cause unfortunatly this could be the only way to create a job that runs for example every first day of each month.
I asked myself anyway more then once, why a huge application like salesforce doesn't offer the opportunity to plan jobs.

Attach Notes/Messages to Scheduled Reports
Currently, you can only automate the transmission of report content in an email message. Ideally, users should have the ability to send a targeted note/message when delivering reports to individual users or groups that could clarify or amplify specific aspects of a report.

Dashbaord refresh emails
Currently you can only email admin or a particular role a dashboard refersh.
It makes sense to be able to email the running user! you can only set it to email a role or group and if its a personal dashboard this makes it impossible as it only needs to go to the running user.

Report Interface - add 'Salesforce Content' features
It would be great if the report interface could include the same look and feel of Salesforce Content ie Preview reports, vote a report up/down, and include the extra search and tagging functionality. As well as providing a consistent look and feel, it would limit the need for report heirarchy's.

Exact Search Only - Security Restriction
One of our executives requested the ability to limit a specific group of users on the searching capability. He would like these users to only be able to use the standard SF feature to return results that EXACTLY match the string that they have entered. That way, he could be confident that these users would not return a large number of records via a search.
Personally, I'm not sure about this suggestion but I thought I'd present it to the community and see what others have to say.

Access other cells in Custom Summary Formulas in summary and matrix reports
We need to use other cells when making formulas in reports - whether the cells in the previous column at the same leve, to allow the creation of "year-on-year" and "q-on-q" reports, but also the cells at higher levels - for example to compare this quarter to all quarters this year, or this product in an opportunity to all products in an opportunity

Enable creation of new categories for new Report Types
New Report Types are more often than not based on new custom objects.
So limiting the storage of such reports within existing object categories or the all-purpose 'Other Reports' category isn't adequate.
So please enable users to create new categories for new Report Types.
You know it makes sense.
Confirmation before changing number of columns in a Dashboard
When we Edit Properties of a dashboard, we can change from "Three Columns" to "Two Columns". Making this change, the graphics in the middle column are DELETED and you can not revert it.
I suggest a pop up CONFIRMATION, as in the picture, advising that the data in the middle column will be permanently deleted.
Allow adding of new field to custom report types at point of creation
After creating a new field, I need to remember to add it to any custom report types that might use it. Why not ask me that question after asking me if I want to add it to existing page layouts, or add as a related list to master page layouts. List all the custom report types that use the current object (custom or standard), and let me tick the one(s) I want.
Allow me to create new report categories
I want to create categories where my users can find the custom report types - I can't hide the standard report types in, say, the sales category in preference to my own custom reprt types, so I resort to prefixing min with an asterisk and telling users to only use those ones. Messy - if I could create new categories I could just manage it all better.
Allow Mass Email/Mail Merge using the results of a report
It would be really useful to be able to Mass email / mail merge to the results of a report.
This would allow contacts to be emailed that are linked to custom objects. At present you cannot create a contact view via mass email that allows you to access related objects other than account.
