Back Date Workflows
SF really needs to come up with a way to back date their workflows. For instance, we have a huge problem with our users leaving opps open when they should be closed off. We need a workflow that recognizes past dates and triggers based on those - maybe one that's just available to users such as the opp reminders you guys just released??

Reports Enhancements
Creating a Report should have an option to select the top/bottom number of records (i.e., Top 10 Opportunities, 10 Most Recent Activities) instead of generating all the data and then printing/exporting it to Excel to crop it.
The Matrix Report should have an option to exclude the Sub Total columns and display only the Grand Total column.

Cloning or Save As for Email Templates (Delivered in Spring '07)
Currently, in order to mass email contacts, you need to create a new email template (or use an existing one). However, if a user wants to modify an email template, (s)he needs to either modify an existing one (and save over the original settings) or create a new template from scratch. Being able to clone (or save as) an email template would allow a user to build on an already created email template without having to figure out exactly what merge fields to include (or exclude) and would preserve the integrity of the original email template in case something gets messed up. Cloning (or save as) will also save keystrokes and allow users to be more efficient with their time.

Email Relaying (Delivered in Spring '07)
Route all emails you send from Salesforce.com through your own email infrastructure; allowing you to achive emails for compliance reasons, do content filtering, append company wide disclaimers etc.
In an easy configurable admin screen, the admin will be able to setup where to route all emails from the org to your own email servers.
Enable Transport Layer Security (TLS) to secure the communication between salesforce.com and your email servers.
Alternatively choose to only route emails for your own domains, e.g. Acme.com only want to route internal xx@acme.com emails to their own email servers.

Email Approvals Response (Delivered in Spring '07)
Enable Email Approval Responses, allow users to reply to Workflow approval emails and approve or reject any approval requests.
Instead of having to login to salesforce.com, I would like to just reply, type Approved or Rejected and include an comment.

Parent/Child Opportunity Objects
We really need parent/child opportunity object functionality in sf.com. We have customers that commit projects to our company that have many sub opportunities over the life cycle of the project. We need a way to track project data(parent opportunity) with seperate data than what we track on transactional opportunities (child opportunity) which represent individual PO's or transactional

Better Forecast User Productivity (Coming in Spring '07)
Wouldn't it be great if you could access a comprehensive list of deals related to a specific forecast period with just a single click while you are looking at your summary amounts?
Users of the Salesforce forecasting tab will enjoy streamlined application flow and added visibility to key forecast and opportunity information with Spring ’07.
The new opportunities sub-tab allows for efficient navigation between forecast information and related deal details. Sales managers have easy access to a list of opportunities for their subordinates or for an individual salesperson. For example, looking at a list of opportunities for a specific forecast period on the new opportunities sub-tab, a manager can navigate between peer subordinates in the sales hierarchy and conveniently review each subordinate’s specific list of deals in the pipeline for the forecast period in question.

Drill Down to Other Report in Dashboard
There are times when the best report to drive a dashboard component is not the same as the report you would like to display when they drill down to it (perhaps because of grouping).
Currently, you can work around it by having the Drill Down URL be the link of the URL of the report you would like to do, but that strikes me as both a little risky and not the best plan for documentation.
What would be nice is "Drill Down to Other Report" as an option, and then have a drop down similar to the Source Report appear as the "Drill Down Report".

Joint selling with products in the portal (Coming in Spring 07)
Partners can see the products as a read only item on the opportunity today.
Wouldn't it be great if partners can update product SKUs and line items on opportunties? This was delivered in the Spring 07 release.

Role hierarchy in partner accounts (Coming in Spring 07)
Today, if you want a role hierarchy for data visibility within a partner account, you would need to set up sharing rules per account. In the Spring 07 release, a role hierarchy comprising of executive, manager, and user will be created for each partner account.
