Allow Google Custom Search to work with Salesforce Sites
Google Custom Search does not work with Salesforce Sites since there is a robots.txt file that disallows web-crawlers. Please remove the robots.txt from Salesforce sites so that web-crawlers can index Salesforce Sites pages.
fetching values from the table
hai i am new to apex .. i want to fetch a field values from a table using soql queries(for example i have table by name students and field name is stu_id now i need fetch the records of stu_id)......please provide me the sample code in apex to do above function.....
Philanthropic Idea: Disaster Tracking and Updates.
Hello, my idea is very simple.
-But first, a little context. I am currently in Santa Barbara, California. I am one mile away from a fire that has literally exploded and am 3 blocks away from the mandatory evacuation line. There is a high I will receive evacuation orders, but I am realistically not in a lot of danger, so do not worry. ;)
My idea;
It would be very nice to leverage the power of Google Earth and Salesforce.com to create a real-time update system to be used in the event of an emergency such as a natural disaster... or a fire.
The application would be controllable by proper authorities and contain important information such as:
-Red Cross Shelters,
-Pet Shelters,
-Closed roads
-What areas are on alert and
-What areas are under evacuation.
-Maybe a more coordinated reverse 911 effort.
It would not take a police dispatcher more than a couple of seconds to enter these updates. Also, suggesting compatibility with mobile versions of Google Earth probably does not need to be discussed.
I know there are a few resources like this already available. However, Google and Salesforce.com have a lot more influence and I believe would make a tremendous impact.
And if this already exists, it needs more advertising ;)

Include PDF in Add to Salesforce button
Currently the Add Google Doc to Salesforce button for the browser toolbar does not work with PDF documents. You can start in Salesforce and add a PDF from Google Docs, but you cannot start in Google Docs and use the "Add Google Doc to Salesforce" button. I was referred by Salesforce to add this to the idea exchange, as it does not make sense to have the PDF supported from one side but not the other.
Ability to apply securities by profiles relating to Google Apps
I love the functionality with Google Apps and Google docs within the objects. However, I do not want to implement the functionality org wide. I would like to apply to certain sets of users and not disrupt the others. Current functionality is when you activate the Google Docs, the buttons relating to Notes and Attachments within the objects change on all page layouts. I would like the option to add the Google Docs, Notes & Attachments on the page layout or the standard button. Similarly with the gmail field.
Chat facility in SFDC AMONG LOGGED IN USERS OF AN ORG
Is there any way of showing the no. of users which are online in a particular org and instant messaging among them? It would be great to introduce this feature as many clients demand such a solution. Please note here, I am not talking about Google APIs.

Multiple Google Adword Accounts
My company has several Google Adwords accounts and SalesForce only allows me to integrate one Adword account per organization. Being a global company, I have multiple accounts for several regions.
In a nutshell, it would fantastic if SalesForce built in the capability to add in multiple Google Adwords accounts.
Salesforce Mobile support for Google Android
Please release a version of Salesforce Mobile for the Google Android platform soon! It would be great to be able to access all of our on-demand business & productivity applications (Salesforce, Google Apps) seamlessly from one device. The openness of the Android platform also provides possibilities for 3rd party developers to write companion applications to Salesforce Mobile. Can't wait to see this become available!!
Add Attachments with Gmail to SF
The current Gmail to SF functionality, either using the bcc email address or the button in FF, does not let you add the email attachments to the client's record. The attachments are as important for us as the email itself and this failing is a major omission. Is there some way to add this functionality, which exists in the Outlook Connect to the Gmail integration?
Google MCC accounts to work with Salesforce
Some people have Google MCC Accounts to manage their adwords campaigns. Can these account types work in Saleforce and Link to particular accounts?
Create Mail Merge Documents with Google Docs
There needs to be a way to create mail merge docs with Google Docs. Currently the only way to do it is with Microsoft Word and the Office Connect Plug in.
