Expand criteria for role-up fields from line items to products
The ability to show line item aggregates (Count, Avg, Min, Max) directly on opportunities is a leap forward in Winter '08, but just not good enough. What I really need is the ability to include fields from the Product object, e.g. Product Family, in the criteria.
Example: "give me the sum of [Sales Price] for all attached line items having products with [Product Family]='Services' and [Internal]=False". Curently, only fields of the Line Item (Opportunity Product) object are available.

Provide New Feature Summary and Impact in CSV Format
I was very pleasantly surprised when the Spring 07 release notes from Salesforce came with a Feature Summary and Impact table showing at a glance what changes were coming in a given release.
That then prompted me to create an object within Salesforce to track features, their impact on business units, and plan out the relative importance and rollout plan for each feature.
To populate these Feature Rollout Planning records, I use the Apex Data Loader from a CSV file that I extract from the release notes. The trouble is, the formatting of the PDF file table allows copying of the table, but pasting it anywhere is completely out of whack. Try copying and pasting that table and you’ll see what I mean that it’s not the way you’d expect it to paste in.
For that reason, I am asking that when release notes are published, either provide a CSV file of these features for download and use like I noted above, or reformat the PDF table to be copied and pasted out to another application.

HR information private even for SF administrators
We also use Salesforce to manage Human Resources. This means that salary information for every staff person is in the system. I am the system administration but I shouldn't be able to view any other person's salary information. The model we use is that each person can view it's information and the information of their team, but not that of people in other teams.
So, we have two processes in conflict: HR and Salesforce administration.
It would be fantastic if we could customize this security settings, maybe a good idea is to have the ability to identify 1 or 2 objects that can skip the administrator's modify all data capability. So, after the object is created and tested, the administrator would mark it, and the object would skip the modify all data permission and be subject to the sharing rules that apply for every other SF user.

Recyle Bin - Searching & Viewing of Deleted Records
It would be helpful to be able to view a record in the Recycle Bin instead of just being able to Undelete. There are many times in my Deduplication work that I have been asked about a record being removed and to be able to quickly look it up without doing an "Undelete", Viewing the Record, then Deleting again, it'd be nice to be a 1 step process.

Make a related item read only on a page
I would like to be easily able to make a related item on a page read only either using visual force or from the page layout. I have had an issue where the opportunity products are still editable after an opportunity is closed and could not remove the edit links from the view so had to remove them and write an s-control to give a read-only view of the data.

Clone a Field
As a system administrator, it is very frustrating when you cannot clone a field. It would be great to be able to clone a picklist field when a new one is required and only re-define the picklist values.

Sort Activities and Activity History by last Modified date.
I think that it would be helpful if the Activities and Activity History is able to be sorted by the activity that was the most recently added or most recently modified instead of being sorted alphabetically. I do not care about things that happened 2 years ago. I want to be able to easily view the most recent info on one screen

Compare Users Profilce
We have many profiles in our organization, and from time to time we need to see what features, objects etc, are available on what profiles.
A method to compare profiles would help a lot.
Reclassify and Redirect Questions on IdeaExchange To Community
Might it would be good (and make IdeaExchange cleaner - as in remaining focused on submitting and commenting on Ideas) if there was a way to have the administrator/monitor/product mangers reclassify a question submitted (rather than an actual idea) as directed to community and to actually redirect/repost the question to the community discussion boards on behalf of the submitter.

Ability to Make Address Fields Required
Please give us the ability to make the shipping and billing address fields required! It's an often over-looked field by our admin-adverse sales reps.
