Ability to add custom report option dropdowns in Report header
I find the report filtering a bit cumbersome for the avg user and would like the ability to add custom report filter dropdowns to the Report Options section of the report header for any given report. For example, instead of just being able to change the "Summarize" option from one field to another, I'd like to be able to add a custom drop down that lets the user quickly filter on one or more opportunity stages, or account types, etc
BUG: New Dataloader imports dates incorrectly
I've imported a CSV file with the date field, all records having the value "2008-06-30". After importing the data, the field in Salesforce shows "29/06/2008".
Surely there is something wrong here. Is it necessary to include a time as well?
URL doesn't refresh when new enhanced list views are used
For various reasons, we regularly copy the URL of a page, report, or form to an email in order to highlight some issue or other. We also include URLs to specific parts of Salesforce in our company procedures and documentation.
Since switching on enhanced lists, I have noticed that when I select the first view on a given tab, the URL updates as expected, but when selecting a second views, the URL is unchanged. If I navigate to another tab, then return to the original tab and re-select the second view, the URL is now correct for that view.
Surely this should not happen. Cutting/pasting URLs, storing them in Favourites or saving them as shortcuts on the desk top is such a handy feature, it would be painful to have to explain to my users that "sometimes" they can't do that anymore.
Allow the HTML Editor on Solutions to go bigger
This is especially important on the Solutions screen where the editor is very small. It'd be really nice to be able to click a button on the toolbar and bring that control to full screen. Alternatively, allow the Page Layout to have a parameter that sets the horizontal size of the Solution Details field so that we can make it as large as we want.
Display a combined Weekly Calendar and Task List View
Outlook 2007 allows users to view a combined weekly calendar & task view - where a task list is shown at the bottom of each day. It seems silly that salesforce doesn't allow this and only shows a combined daily calendar and task view. I have found that the outlook combined weekly view is helpful in balancing workload from day to day for the workweek.
Close Page Optional Based On Business Process
The close page should be optional. Currently you can utilize an S-Control that bypasses the close page but it should be optional based on business requirements. Additionally if you add any Close Field Validation Rules - you must include them on the close page as the error message will not appear on the case page.
Closing Cases should not necessarily function any different then Closing Opportunities.
Visualforce Configuration Pages in Setup Menu
The Force.com platform is great, but the one thing that I think is lacking is a simple way for developers to create applications that can be configured by end users. What I would really love, would be to be able to leverage the salesforce configuration system for my own applications so that the end user who installs an application can access the configuration for the application in the setup menu without needing any knowledge about apex or visualforce in the same way that they access all the other configurations for salesforce. They would then be able to tweak settings specific to the application for their instance. This would allow developers to build more generic applications that accessed this configuration information without making custom objects to hold the information.
Freshbooks.com Integration
Integrate with Freshbooks.com API for Customer and Invoicing Data Syncronization
Integration with Logmein IT Reach
Integration with the Logmein IT Reach API to support Inventory Sync with Support Metrics as well as auto logging of the Remote Support sessions launched from Salesforce.com
Accounts and Contracts relationship
When searching for Contracts in a lookup field it would be good if it only returned the Contracts that relate to the Account already selected. Apparently this functionality is available for Accounts, Contacts, Users and Custom Objects as part of the Summer 08 release however, not currently available for Contracts.
Lookup Relationship Fields related to Specific Record Type
If I create some different RecordType (for example for Account object) and I create a lookup relationship field related to this Object (Account), It would be great to be able to specify on wich specific Object-RecordType the field is related to.
Example:
1) I have 4 RecordType on Account Object:
- Customer
- Distributor
- Partner
- Competitor
2) For each Opportunity I want to track:
- Who is the Customer
- Who is the Distributor
- Who is the Partner
- Who is the Competitor
...using the Account object
To do this I create 4 different lookup relationship fields related to Account object.
3) When I create a new Opportunity and I click on one of the created lookup button to look for Customer/Distributor/Partner/Competitor, the search layout gives me results about the entire Account table.
So it would be great to be able to specify on which recordtype a lookup relationship field is related to (at the moment of lookup relationship field creation)
Need improved HTML email capability
When I send HTML email to a contact using salesforce the email is attached to the contact record, as activity history. However, when I look at the email attached it is shown as text only, so no images/formatting is kept. I would like to be able to attach html emails in the same format they were sent in, so that I can look at activity records, open an email, and resend, forward or change and forward - just like I can in my email client on my pc.
Also, when using the salesforce outlook plugin I would like to be able ot attach email in same format it was sent in, e.g. keeping its formating.
