Excluding weekends in date/time math
It would be great if there was a way to select "exclude weekends" in calculating a duration.
ClosedDate - OpenDate
for example.
I have seen some complicated formulas for determining weekends, but it is far too complicated.
It would be better to have a simple way of doing this. This would be very helpful for support applications where you want to keep metrics of case durations but don't want to include weekends.
Add a comment when changing a record's owner
When you change a record's owner, there's a standard system form which asks you who you want the new owner to be and a checkbox for whether you want to send them a notification.
The idea is to add a field to this screen (or better yet, to make it admin-customizable) for adding a comment. This comment would then be included in the email template (another system item which is not admin-customizable and should be) sent to the new record owner.
Outside SalesForce Email Capability
I would like the ability to email dashboards and reports to employees of my company who do not have a SalesForce account. The only way I can send to the executives who are not on SalesForce is to send to myself and then forward. I think this would be a very beneficial feature for many users.

Create Case using the Outlook Plugin
It would be a huge benefit to allow users to create a Case and assign it directly to an Account Record instead of having to select a Contact Record. It would also be very helpful to have the ability to select the Type of Case being added while on the "Add Case to Salesforce" window. Having to select a contact record - which may not always be known - and then going into the Case and changing the Type to match the correct type is very labor intensive. Users are unhappy about performing so many steps to create Cases.
Sending E-mails and tracking when opened
I recommend the option to save an e-mail that is in the process of development. Have lost several that started to work on, but it was necessary to go to another tab or page in Salesforce, and when returned changes were not saved.
Also, when tracking if an e-mail is opened, would like the ability to distinguish by whom. Many emails are sent to more than one person, and the opened number does not only represent the main intended recipient.
Clone Rules & Formulas For Other Objects
For example, make it possible to clone a lead approval process rule and then change the object to account.
This would be especially helpful for cloning workflow rules from the account object to the contact object. For instance, if an a certain account field criteria triggers an ownership change, need contact ownership change to be changed as well.
If this is already possible or if there is a work around please reply to this post.

Ability to remove the "New" button from Tabs.
We use Tabs to find high profile objects, some custom. We do not want these objects created anywhere but from the Contact record. Dead center on the Tab is the New button which, if used for our schemes, will result in lost data representing many hours of work.

Email Templates - WYSIWYG editing
Hi,
Can you please add some basic WYSIWYG editing functionality to the Email Templates ?
As well, it would be nice if the Text box was bigger :)

Without the ability to upload pictures, the new Ideas feature in Salesforce is not worth implementing in my company. Please make this possible.
Merge Duplicate Ideas
Within the Salesforce Ideas Product there needs to be a way to merge duplicate ideas. In the screenshot below the merged idea gets added as a comment to the original idea. This might not be the most elegant approach, but you get the idea. Part of this feature would be the ability to merge the votes for reporting purposes.
Clone Notes and Attachments
This is something that I have searched for high and low and have found no solution. I need to be able to have 2 attachment fields for a custom object. The custom object acts as an employee record. There are standard users that will be viewing these records and will need to make notes as well as attach files. However, there are leadership members that also need to make notes and attach files that only the leadership team should be able to view.
So essentially I need to be able to clone the Notes & Attachments section so that I may have one for all users, and another restricted for only the Leadership Team.
Is there anyone out there that has found away to make a custom attachment field?
Ability to forward notes and attachments via email - Documents section is getting untidy
Rather than ad documents to the documents Tab we add many documents to the object or contact itself making it easier to find. The problem is we can't email forward it once we have attached it to the object.
It would be very useful to be able to email a file stored in documents & attachments.
