Freeze Column Headers in Reports
Issue: When viewing and scrolling down in a report with multiple rows, the data column header disappears.
Solution: It would be nice to allow some type of functionality that freezes the data column header so when a user scrolls down to the bottom of the report, the column header stays in place and only the data rows move.
In Excel, this is overcome by freezing the columns under Windows>Freeze Panes

Identify Which Dashboards a Report is Used in, if Any
Next to each report, one should be able to see which Dashboards it is used in, if any. This would be a big benefit for report cleanup.

Roll-up Summary Fields for Standard Objects (Opp-Opp Line in Winter 08)
The recently announced Summer 07 feature for Roll-up Summary fields is a great step forward. However, it only allows roll-up summaries to be created when a custom, master-detail relationship exists. It would be tremendously useful to extend that same functionality to standard objects and the existing relationships. For example...
Example 1
Create a Roll-up Summary field on the Account object that calculates the SUM of all related Opportunities where Stage = "Closed/Won." This is an obvious win for organizations that wish to easily identify the value of a particular customer in terms of sold business.
Example 2
Create a Roll-up Summary field on the Account object that calculates the COUNT of all related Cases where Type or Status = X. Use your imagination but this could be an easy way for support organizations to identify how many cases a customer has submitted versus their paid support agreement.
Example 3
Create a Roll-up Summary field on the Opportunity Product (line item) object that calculates the COUNT of all related Schedule Entries or the MIN/MAX date for related Schedule Entries. This would be an easy way to show - directly on the Opportunity related list for Products - how many monthly installments have been planned for a product or the first/last month that payment is expected.

Clone Custom Report Types
I was shocked to find that I cannot clone existing Custom Report Types or Standard Report Types to create new templates. Do you really expect us to create them all from scratch?? PLEASE!!!

Get rid of "Sent using Salesforce.com" Signature
Salesforce needs to get rid of the default email signature that is set to display Salesforce.com's signature on emails.
NO CUSTOMER IN THE WORLD wants this signature setup by default. Talk about being customer NON-centric.
The default should be blank.

Reports Properties
I often find myself wondering-
1) When a Report was created?
2) Who created it?
3) When was it last used?
4) When was it last modified and by who?
5) How often is it used?
6) Is it tied to any Dashboard components?
7) Who has access to it?
8) etc..
A Reports Properties option would be real nice for this kind of info.

History Tracking on Accounts & Contacts
With Winter '08, due to popular demand, you can track history on Accounts and Contacts. Similar to history tracking for Leads and other objects, you can select standard and custom fields to track.
Looking beyond Winter '08, we hear your requests for history tracking on even more standard objects. Going forward, please consider this idea closed and go to the idea for "History Tracking on more Standard Objects" (http://ideas.salesforce.com/article/show/79855) to continue adding your comments. The many great comments on this idea will not be lost!

Reporting on Dashboard Usage
I would like to be able to run a report that outlines the reports used within each dashboard. I would also like the report to show dashboard usage including users and the last time the dashboard was accessed and by who. I would like to see what dashboards are assigned to users home page as well.

Make Salesforce work in Safari for Windows
Salesforce works in just about any browser, but my testing with the recent release of Safari for Windows has shown that the drag and drop page layout editor doesn't work very well with this browser. I haven't tested the whole app, so I don't know if there are any other issues.
Safari on Windows is so fast, that I'd love to use it for all my Salesforce.com configuration tasks. Please fully test this browser and fix any incompatibilities so we can speed up our Setup work!

Forecast Hierarchy
It would be really great if more than one person in a role could see the users under them in the hierarchy. For example
-----Managers (Ray, Bob, Ken, Joe)
|
-----Role A (Susie, Jenny, Kate)
-----Role B (Kelly, James, Rob)
If all of the managers could monitor all of the users under them, then it work out better than having to only set one person to be in charge of all of that.

Need a standard field in User record for Manager or Reports To
I'm guessing that most, if not all of us have a custom field in the User object for Manager or Reports to. What we need is a standard delivered field on the User record for that data.
The reason for this is that when it comes to workflow or escalation notification, managers may be part of the same role, yet you only want to notify the record owner's manager, not every manager in the same role.
A sub-benefit from this would be the ability to view your company org chart within Salesforce. While a role hierarchy may loosely represent an org chart, you don't want to get to the point of having a unique role for every person in the whole company.
