Dashboard Snapshots or Reports
Being able to snapshot dashboard/report metrics for comparison purposes over time and a reporting on historical changes and trends for all objects, both standard and custom. The current ability to submit/track changes in forecast history is the type of improvement I'm looking for.

Increase the limit on custom reports in Enterprise Edition
With the Spring '07 release of Ideas (which uses 5 custom report types if you want to use the reports/dashboard provided by Salesforce on Appexchange), and the new ability to create custom reports with outer join, the number of custom reports available in Enterprise Edition should be increased. Upgrading to Unlimited Edition - especially for an organization with many users, is too expensive if the purpose of the upgrade is only to be able to take advantage of these new reports.

Allow in-line editing for views
Please enable in-line editing for views similar to forms. This would be incredibly useful when you need to quickly edit data in a list view instead of going to each individual record.

Adjustable column widths
The ability to quickly click and drag to adjust the column widths in views and reports (like in Excel). Should be able to save these view preferences so that you don't have to re-adjust it every time.

Asynchronous Apex
Flexible, powerful development with Apex
:: Annotate Apex code to be executed asynchronously
:: Monitor the execution status
With Summer '08, Developers can annotate Apex code to be executed asynchronously. This will provide more flexibility when developing custom business logic, relax Governor limits for executing Apex code and simply certain use cases, e.g. the execution of Apex Code from Apex Triggers. This feature will be available as a Developer Preview.

See All Records in a View or At Least the Amount
Selecting a view, whether it be leads, accounts, projects, cases, activities, etc., we constantly click "more records per list page."
It would be helpful to have two things:
1. A total of how many records appear in a view.
2. The ability to select how many records you would like to appear on one page in the view.

Many to Many Relationships w/ Linking Object
Problem: If you would like to create a “Many to Many” relationship between objects you must create a linking object in the middle. The linking object can contain more then the ID fields, but primarily contains the IDs of the objects that it is linking. This poses a HUGE problem with reports, related lists, etc, even with report types. There is no way to show or report on the Many to Many relationships. You can only report on one of the primary objects and the linking object. Without de-normalizing the data and saving fields to the linking object reports are very limited.
One Current Solution: To overcome this we have had to de-normalize the data model. We take fields from both primary objects and replicate them on the linking object creating a composite object. This has to be done with APEX, AJAX or some code external to Salesforce. It is very cumbersome to code this type of solution and challenging to ensure data integrity when one of the primary objects data changes. Also, if future reporting requirements change we have to code, not configure, a solution.
One Proposed solution: Create a field type called link or “Many to Many”. Under the covers Salesforce could create the linking object storing the IDs from the two primary objects. Then Salesforce could expose this in reports, related lists, etc. Since Salesforce created the linking object the system would have more control over the data model and create the composite view.
Thanks,
Todd Bursey

Allow Partners to 'Report' and view Dashboard - for their own data
A positive sell on feature for PRM would be to enable Partners to report on their own data by:
- allowing them to create reports OR Run reports themselves which are created thru' SFA
- View output through a Dashboard

Approval Workflow Comments
When an approval workflow is approved/rejected, and the APPROVER, enters comments, currently, there is no option to add the APPROVERS' comments to an email alert. There is no available merge field for this. The comments merge field in only available on the approval request.
It is extremely important that any comments added by an approver be added to those email. Please add this merge field.
Thanks.

Extended Mail-Merge: remove 100-record limit
Extended mail-merge is a huge improvement over the standard mail-merge, and would be really useful except for one huge problem: you can't merge to more than 100 records at a time.
Moreover, it's very tricky to put together your batches of 100, since when you move to each page of records in the wizard, it forgets all of the records you've checked off in the previous page.
What's more, this limitation does not seem to be documented anywhere that I can find.
Extended mail-merge works good! Now please graduate it from an experiment to a useful feature.
Thank you!

New Button On List Views
Why can't we have a 'New' button on a list view like on a tab home page? Many users try to look diligently for existing accounts (using list views) before they create a new account. Why should they have to go back to the tab home page to get to the new button? Its just not intuitive.
Every list view for EVERY object should have a 'New' button at the top of the page by default. This will save extra clicks for so many users, and prevent frustration for many more.
