Get rid of "Google Apps" ad on homepage
Make it so I can hide the "Google Apps" add in the top right corner on the home page.
My users feel that as paying customers, they shouldn't need to subject their users to seeing ads that don't apply to their business (feel Google Apps isn't compliant, etc). They feel it not only is unwarranted, but also creates an expectations gap between their users and project teams, as the project team may not be planning on implementing certain features advertised there.
I'm guessing the same would apply to the "Learn about Summer '08" etc ads that are sometimes displayed in that same spot - my users don't want their constituents to see it, but instead to present it to them themselves when warranted.
Gmail integration with Templates

We have recently converted the entire company to Google Apps. One of the best moves this year. Support are more happy in 24 hours than they have been for a long time, email was always a problem. Gmail is much better now
Here is the problem though we are encountering in sales. In sales we use heavily Salesforce templates. Now when we click on a Gmail button to send an email out of salesforce via Gmail we no longer get to choose a template.
Please make Salesforce Templates integrated with Gmail
Synchronize Google Calendar with Salesforce Calendar
Google now has calendar functions. Synchronizing the salesforce calendar with the google calendar would allow us to deliver tasks to a diverse set of tools used in the field. Like cell phones.... It would allow customers to scan sales calendars to book time and we could tie that back to sales force. The google calendar can be updated from your cell phone. That in turn could feed back to salesforce. This is way cool technology !
Improve the search engine
The current search engine within salesforce typically only searches the name of the records (Opportunity Name, Account Name, etc.). It would be very nice if the search engine could pick out the keywords anywhere on the record. For instance, on this image I have attached, I can search the project ID/Job number if I know it. However, if I wanted to search for the Old Job Number (2007-CDN26), the search engine will not pick up 2007-CDN26.
I think it would be nice if the search engine searched all fields within a record.
Mail Merge with Google Doc
It would be great if salesforce.com could be integrated to Google docs just like it is with Ms Word to mail merge option.
No Cursor in Google Docs after Creating from Salesforce
This could very well be an issue only I am having, but am posting the idea for others to comment on.
When I create a Google Doc from Salesforce, I am unable to see my cursor in the document. This makes it difficult to edit.
If I Save & Close the document and then open it back up, all is fine.
Something is happening during the create from Salesforce process that's different than creating a Google Doc normally. It only happens in Firefox for me.
If no one else has this issue, then it's probably an add-on of mine and disregard. Please comment on this, Community!
Send Gmail and Add to Salesforce (like the Outlook plugin)
Any chance of a Salesforce-Gmail integration similar to the Outlook one? Not sure if this is possible via the web, so maybe it's a future request, but one I'd love to see.
Plus you can bet that if Google wants to really compete with MS Outlook, they'll need to have an offline version of Gmail - and I'd love for the Salesforce add-in to be ready for installing when it goes live. :-)
Support for Google Maps in Apex Mobile
Google Map mash-ups should be supported in Appex Mobile, either launched via a custom link, formula field or available in a web tab. Remote users need to be able to view SFDC Account locations on a map on their mobile device when they're out in the field
High quality Google Search functionality in Salesforce
Lot of ideas concerning improvements of the search functionality have been submitted. Seems like a good improvement action in which Google could help
Integrate Google Analytics with Salesforce
It would be great if Google Analytics is integrated with salesforce.com. Together it would be a powerful combination.
Embed Google Maps into Salesforce Reports
Salesforce should add a reporting option that allows Accounts, Contacts or Leads to be displayed over a Google Map. It should also be easy to work with these results, such as by creating multi-destination driving directions and using Conditional Highlighting.
Web to lead and Calendar Integration
I would like to create a web to lead form that enables the lead to schedule an appointment. Now that Google calendar has been integrated with Salesforce it would be great if we could provide a drop down list with available dates and time slots (with a visual image of the calendar showing those dates available). If the user clicks on a specific date I would like that date to be specified as the default date in the pick list. Once a time slot has been taken (after lead has submitted their information), I would like the system to automatically remove it from the list so scheduling conflicts do not occur. When a lead completes the form not only is their contact information stored but a calendar item is added as well which is linked back to the leads record.
