Build Email Template - Send Yourself a TEST Email
When I build an email template, I have to open a new screen, pick a sample lead and send myself a test mail template to make sure the formatting is correct and it looks ok.
Salesforce should include a button on the template that says, "Send Test Message" just so you can see how the mail will turn out.
Add a comment when changing a record's owner
When you change a record's owner, there's a standard system form which asks you who you want the new owner to be and a checkbox for whether you want to send them a notification.
The idea is to add a field to this screen (or better yet, to make it admin-customizable) for adding a comment. This comment would then be included in the email template (another system item which is not admin-customizable and should be) sent to the new record owner.
Scheduled and Emailed Reports & Dashboards
I want the ability to schedule the refresh of a dashboard or a report.
The report results would be stored (so users can see the refreshed report online immediately).
Also, the Report or Dashboard could be scheduled for delivery by email to specified users or groups.
Create Case using the Outlook Plugin
It would be a huge benefit to allow users to create a Case and assign it directly to an Account Record instead of having to select a Contact Record. It would also be very helpful to have the ability to select the Type of Case being added while on the "Add Case to Salesforce" window. Having to select a contact record - which may not always be known - and then going into the Case and changing the Type to match the correct type is very labor intensive. Users are unhappy about performing so many steps to create Cases.
Masking Contact Emails in Sandbox as part of Refresh
Currently, when refreshing the full sandbox environment all contacts get copied over with their email addresses unmasked text. For security/exposure concerns it would be very helpful to have contact email addresses masked/altered, the same way all user email addresses are masked in the sandbox when refreshed from production. This would prevent any accidental / unintentional emails going out to external customers from a sandbox.
Default from address when sending email for a case
I find it very annoying that the from address defaults to my email address when sending an email related to a case.
It would be very useful to have a default from address set to our support@... (Email2Case mailbox) such that we would not have to remember to change it manually each and every time.
Sending E-mails and tracking when opened
I recommend the option to save an e-mail that is in the process of development. Have lost several that started to work on, but it was necessary to go to another tab or page in Salesforce, and when returned changes were not saved.
Also, when tracking if an e-mail is opened, would like the ability to distinguish by whom. Many emails are sent to more than one person, and the opened number does not only represent the main intended recipient.
Weekly Data Export Management
1. Add schedule information to Weekly Export Service e-mail.
2. Log schedule information changes to the Audit Trail.
3. Allow workflows around schedule end dates. (Example, "Your Weekly Data Export schedule ends in 14 days. Please update the schedule.")
Ability to specify sender email address for workflow email alerts
We need the ability to specify the FROM email address for email alerts that are triggered by workflow rules. Currently email alerts are sent using the email address of the last user who modified the record.
Release Notes for Connect Outlook (aka Outlook Edition)
Currently salesforce.com provides a new version of Salesforce Connect for Outlook with every release, if not more often. Unfortunately there is no accompanying documents describing changes, bug fixed and unresolved issues addressed with each version.
Concise Release Notes, similar to Firefox project, will both assist our end users and Salesforce administrators to troubleshoot and deploy this essential add-on.

Store Actual HTML Mass Emails
Salesforce.com only stores the activity that a mass email occurred, not the actual email a customer (contact) receives. It should also store the email the customer sees.
When we send HTML emails to an account's contact on behalf of account owners, we automatically pull in the account's sales in a reference field. Unfortunately, when the emails are sent, salesforce only stores the activity that the email was sent...Not the actual HTML email or text version that the contact viewed.
There should be a button in the mass email activity (in the account activity history) that says "View Document." This would enable the account owner to print the actual document the contact saw, and take it with them to an in-person sales call with the contact. Right now our workaround is to have the account owner also list themselves as a contact for each individual account so they receive the individual mass emails for the account too, but this is inefficient.
Define "Send From" for Workflow and Templates
Its great that we can select Contacts as workflow email recipients, but I need to be able to control the From address on the emails that go out to customers/contacts.
Case auto-response rules allow you to define the Send From information, and I need this for workflow to ensure that replies go to my email to case address.
