Multiple Contacts to be allowed on one activity, be it a task or event! Please!
Our sales reps have meetings where they could literally speak to thirty contacts or have tasks where they could involve 30 contacts. We too, want to track that activity. We want our reps to get credit for all thirty of those talks but we all know our sales people, they don’t want to take 20 to thirty minutes to log the same activity 30 different times. Having the ability to clone activities, tasks and events, and change the contact would be a huge improvement. The best solution would be the ability to add contacts in the same fashion you can add contact roles to an opportunity. This would mean that when running a report for the rep for their activity on the account this activity would show 30 times, once for each contact. The history would also show on the contact record. I cannot tell you how much easier this would make our reps lives!
mail merge to PDF
I think it'd be great if the salesforce MAIL MERGE fucntionality had the ability to merge data into a PDF document with fields, not just a Microsoft Word document.
Need improved HTML email capability
When I send HTML email to a contact using salesforce the email is attached to the contact record, as activity history. However, when I look at the email attached it is shown as text only, so no images/formatting is kept. I would like to be able to attach html emails in the same format they were sent in, so that I can look at activity records, open an email, and resend, forward or change and forward - just like I can in my email client on my pc.
Also, when using the salesforce outlook plugin I would like to be able ot attach email in same format it was sent in, e.g. keeping its formating.
SF.com integration with Mac Address Book and iCal
I have been using sf.com with outlook for several months. I've recently migrated my busines to Mac OS X, and would like to have similar functionality with iCal and Address Book, within the professional edition of sf.com.
allow mass Mail Merge directly from a Campaign
Currently, you can only do a Mass Mail Merge starting from a List View of Contacts, Leads, or Accounts.
But much of the time, if you're doing a mailing, you've probably created a campaign to track who's receiving it. So why not allow us to drive the mail merge directly from the campaign, rather than requiring the extra busywork step of creating a contacts/leads view filtered by the campaign?
This would save a lot of time, and make mail merges much easier to learn for new users.
While you're at it, it would increase the usefulness tenfold if you would allow us to further filter the merge by one or more Campaign Member Status values. Otherwise, you'd be forced to always send to everyone in the campaign (or select a subset by hand). But it would be extremely handy to be able to do multiple sends for a single campaign, in which case we'd want to send only to those people who hadn't already gotten it. Best way to manage that is to select by Status when sending.
Email merge should work the same way!
In my mind this would go a long way toward linking up your communication tools (mail merge and email merge) with the structure provided as the best practice for tracking those communications (Campaigns). Currently it takes way more work than it needs to to get those communications out the door.
Thank you!
Thank you!
Report Types for Mail Merges too
.
Custom report types allow you to define relationships between objects and then use the data model to run reports that pull data from multiple objects. The feature is fantastic!
It would be awesome if the same relationship (data model)was available to use when creating a mail merge as well.
Ideally, the data model would show up as another object to choose from when inserting a field for the mail merge in MS Word.
Promote It!! The functionality would be AWESOME!!
Send a Fax from Salesforce
Sending a fax from Salesforce in a similar fashion as we can send an e-mail would be useful for contacting customers that don't have or would prefer not to be contacted by e-mail. It'd be nice if it would then log the activity in a similar fashion as e-mail as well.
I know that there are some AppExchange solutions for receiving e-mail, but this is the reverse of that, and just sending of e-mail.
BUG: New Dataloader imports dates incorrectly
I've imported a CSV file with the date field, all records having the value "2008-06-30". After importing the data, the field in Salesforce shows "29/06/2008".
Surely there is something wrong here. Is it necessary to include a time as well?
Officially Support and Update the Excel Connector
Just about anyone who uses Salesforce.com extensively or manages a lot of data in Salesforce.com finds the Excel Connector to be an INVALUABLE tool, and crucial to making management of data in Salesforce.com an efficient undertaking.
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE make the Excel Connector a FREE and SUPPORTED desktop application, perhaps even integrated with the "Connect for Office" application. Also, please allow one version of the Excel Connector to support all editions of Salesforce.com (Group, Professional, Enterprise, etc.). With so many of your customers relying on this application to manage their Salesforce.com data, it is detrimental to your customer satisfaction ratings to not officially support and update the Excel Connector.
Quick Create Contact on Email to Case should auto fill email field
Hi,
The ability to "Quick Create" a contact from the Email to Case functionality on the Outlook Edition is a great time saver. But why isn't the Email field automatically populated? It's already captured by the Outlook Edition and requiring the user to retype it is totally inefficient and asking for data errors.
Thanks.
Aiden
Can we have a version of Connect for OpenOffice.org
More and more people are moving across to OpenOffice.org so it seems sensible that we should have a version of Connect which will work with Writer and Calc.
I would love to switch over now, but I cannot do so because OpenOffice.org and Saleforce.com just cannot talk to each other.
- At the moment, we have to buy MS Office in order to create mail merge templates and update any spreadsheet that is linked to a report saved on Salesforce.com. This adds to the cost of running Saleforce.com
- If a person wants to work from home on their personal machine, but like me they don't have MS Office, they (or their employer) will be forced to buy a copy of MS Office. This defeats the idea that home working should cost less.
Please can we have a Connect for OpenOffice.org
New Stylish Interface for Salesforce.com
I love salesforce, but I think the interface is very outdated. SugarCRM, a rival of SF, has got it almost right with a stylish, modern and somewhat slick interface. I think the SF interface is so 70s. The world's leading product is perfection at the back but needs to equal this as the front.
Please vote to get this changed! Let's get slick together!!!
