Creation of any object via workflow rule.
I had many requests in crating new objects such as opportunity after period of 1 year, however there is no such option in the workflow rules it would be nice to have. It would be more robust than writing apex code.

Schedule Reports to be Emailed to External Emails
Whilst scheduling reports is a great introduction to SFDC it would be even more usefull to have the ability to email to external users as you can do with workflow rules.
Would love to be able to schedule reports to be sent to internal non-SFDC users as well as sending customer reports to our customers. I realise that customer reports can be created via the customer portal but automation provides a more efficient service to our customers.

Public directory to connect with other salesforce.com customers?
Have you ever wondered who is using salesforce.com and how you'd connect with them?
Now that we've released salesforce to salesforce S2S, you can easily connect with companies and contacts you know and then share data with them.
But what about finding companies based on a profile search or a set of attributes like type of company, vertical focus, market coverage, business need, location etc etc?????
Would you opt in to publish your business profile and make it publicly visible?

Drag & Drop Report Columns
It would be great to be able to drag & drop report columns instead of always having to go into Customize; reorder the columns; regenerate the report.

You should be able to view the attachment in SF after you send the email from SF
After sending an email with an attachment using the "send an email" button, I cannot view the attachment again. I would like that attachment to be viewable by all so that my other sales staff can see exactly what was sent.

Mass Mail Merge - Accounts View
Trying to create a Mass Mail Merge from an Accounts View list.
I am unable to include a Contact Name in a mail merge.
My logical steps in this process would be to identify the Accounts I wish to mail merge and then identify an individual to mass mail to.
If you start the process in the Accounts View you cannot associate any Contact information even though it is available in the Word Document Mail Merge process.
You can achieve the desired result in the Contact View Mail Merge but you cannot identify any Accounts information.

Do Not Mail Checkbox
A Do Not Mail checkbox in the leads area to prevent leads who have opted out of mailings to be included in a campaign or report for export to a mail merge. It should work like the e-mail opt out checkbox. Currently, having to make leads in-active because they don't want mail, leaves it to the user to remember to filter out inactive leads every time a report, lookup or campaign is created. It would also be helpful to be able to report on this checkbox to prove you are complying with rules and regulations regarding do not mail and do not email.

ServerSide CTI Toolkit - WebService API
Currently there is only a Windows-Desktop based CTI-integration possible, as the CTI toolkit is only available for Windows and Internet Explorer.
To avoid dependency on Windows/Internet Explorer, the idea would cover a serverside integration approach.
Advantages:
- only on integration point - server-server - no multiple connections from user's desktop to different servers
- no dependency to Windows/Internet Explorer
- easier integration using WebServices API
- no dependency to C++/C# as programming language
- follows state-of-the-art CTI architecture like seen from Avaya, Genesys, Nortel, ...
Concept:
-> See drawing
-> CTI Server has a connection to the SalesForce.com platform
-> Browser/Desktop has no connection to the CTI server
-> PBX is integrated via CTI server
-> CTI server could be replaced by a SIP setup with pure VoIP communication

Salesforce Outlook contacts syncronisation
Is there a way to stop inactive contacts being syncronised into Outlook Contacts. The contact still needs to exist in Salseforce as a histioric record.

Public Calendars
Would like to be able to create a single corporate calendar that can be used by the entire company for each individual's access to log their schedules rather than having to share each individuals calendars. I called the help desk and was told this was not available. Has anyone been able to create one?

Email Field Update to Email Field
Currently it is not possible to create a workflow rule that updates an email field from an email field.
I was looking to create a case record type where the main account email is brought across in order to automate email responses, depending on the outcome of the case. This was required as you can't automate emails for a field that exists within accounts when you are looking at cases. As this is not possible I was forced to update a text field from the main account email and then manually copy the email address across into the email field in order for the email alert workflow to take effect.
This is such a simple process that should really exist in the system however it has been overlooked.
Cast "Time to Contact" field
Add a "Time to contact" field to the case submission form so users can specify when the customer service rep is likely to be able to reach them.
