Primary contact lookup on opportunity
There is no way to reference information about your primary contact on an opportunity. There should be a hidden lookup field to the primary contact on the opportunity that will allow you to access contact information through lookup formulas.
Workflow From Case Comments
Workflow From Case Comments would allow a workflow rule to be set on the Case Comment object. Corresponding actions could be created on either the Case Comment itself or on the parent Case. This would enable such actions as:
- Changing the case status when a new comment is added from the Self-Service portal
- Stamping the last comment time or text directly on the case for reporting purposes
- Flipping comments from public to non-public if certain stop-words are found in it
- Notifying someone associated with the case when certain new comments are added.

Ability to define WorkFlow on Secondary Objects
We need to be able to define workflow rules against secondary objects, such as Case Comments, Notes, Attachments etc.
This is critical to being able to deliver a complete Case/Opportunity/Account management process.

Collapsible sections ("twisties") in Edit mode
It would be very helpful if we could also collapse sections while in Edit mode, as we can in Detail mode.

Encrypted Custom Fields
It would be nice to have a icon next to a field that is encrypted when you have permissions to view encrypted data. It would be a icon just like an inline edit icon. Ideally it would be a key, since a lock is used already. This makes it quite apparent to the user that this data is encrypted for other individuals. This way data is not mistakenly shared.

Lookup Formula Fields
Currently, the implentation of Cross-object formula fields are great. However, I still cannot display "LOOKUP" fields on another level, only the Object ID. It would be great to be able to display an actual lookup (showing the Name, with the link to the record) based on a formula.
For example, I currently want to display the Account Owner at on a Custom Object that has a Master-detail lookup to Account. Using a formula, I can only display text of the Owner ID (not even the Owner Name!!). It would be great if we could create a lookup formula field so we can display lookups to other objects.
This also is great for workflow rules.

Easier (faster) way to set profile permissions
I'd like to see an easier / faster way to set profile permissions when changes are needed across many profiles. One use case is when new features are released that get controlled within the profile (e.g. Mass Edits from Lists introduced in Summer '08). Having to open each profile to make the change can be tedious and time-consuming.
Give option to remove "Always Displayed" fields from page layout
There are some record types where it doesn't make sense to have some fields "Always displayed" (identified in bold on the legend). Give us the option of what we want to always be displayed. I have custom fields to replace some of these standard fields, and in other instances, I just don't want to display the Account name for example.

Mark Reports with the Report Type that Created it
With so many Standard and Custom Report Types it can be extremely difficult to teach users how to "fish" and create reports for themselves. Have you ever tried troubleshooting a report someone has handed you when you have no idea which report type they started with? Let's make it simple and put the name of the report type somewhere in the report wizard, or at the very least on each report.
Yeah, I know, you could just send the example report to everyone and their Uncles, letting them deal with it. But really, wouldn't it be better to let them see the report type and say, "Okay, so THIS report type ain't got the fields I need."

Representativeness of each customer
I would like to have this graphic in my dashboard but showing the % representativeness of each customer in the pie instead of the sales amount in USD.
Report Filters Should Be Able To Compare Fields To Each Other
Instead of just being able to compare fields to values, there should be a way to compare them to other fields. For instance, if "Amount is great than Annual Amount" (Custom field). As opposed to just "Amount is great than 'some value'"

Using fields as search criteria
A useful feature would be to be able to use fields as criteria in a report, a little scenario to illustrate this.
If I had a custom object for a quote and a due date field as well as a field to record the date the quote was sent out to the customer, if the above was possible then I could run report to show all the quotes which were sent-out late and use a filter like the one below:
Field Operator Field
Quote Date Sent Out [Greater Than] Quote Due Date
