Tracking users' activities
As our team is expanding its size, I have come to realize how valuable it would be to have the ability to easily check what each user has done in the system (create, edit, modify, view, etc). We think it would an excellent improvement to the functionality of the system especially as more users get added. We are envisioning a simple link that takes you to page where you can see each user's activity (perhaps chronologically) and the records he/she has affected (created, edited, or modified) broken down by object.

Outlook Edition 2.0 fails to sync "private" field on events
Intellisync and (I think) the first version of Outlook Edition 2.0 mapped the "Private" tickbox on Outlook events to the "IsPrivate" field in SFDC. This has apparently now been dropped. Users _always_ ask me about protecting private activities when I demo the Outlook integration. I can't imagine why this simple 1:1 mapping was dropped.
Outlook edition"allow to sync the private flag for events
Outlook edition 2 does not allow to sync the Private flag of an event with SalesForce. You can add your own field mapping:
SalesForce <> Outlook
IsPrivate <> Sensitivity
but the mapping does not work. I believe the issue is caused by Outlook edition mapping lacking a conversion option.
- the IsPrivate field in SF is (I guess) a logical field
- the Sensitivity field in Outlook is not logical. You can see this when you go to the 'Active appointments' view, when you add this Sensitivity field to the list view you see that it is a dropdown with a choice between Normal/Personal/Private/Confidential. In the event/appointment edit screen it is just a 'private' tickbox, which defaults to the 'Private' choice in the list view. I therefore thinks there should somehow be a way to have the 'private' setting from Outlook to enable IsPrivate in SF, and the enabled IsPrivate in SF should set the 'Private' choice of Outlook.
Reason for the request: my Outlook holds personal appointments. I want them to be in the SF calendar so they block the time for business appointments etc. But since they are p
Outlook calendar invite with sync button
If someone sends a calendar event / invite from Outlook to my Outlook via my work email address, what is the best way to ensure it also goes to my Salesforce calendar. I new button is needed.
Currently I'm having to open the Outlook invite, click accept, then go to into my outlook calendar and then clicking on the event and marking it for sync.
There must be an easier way ie: clicking a button that says: Accept and mark for sync.
Like with emails you can click: send and add

Sync "Show time as" for calendar events between SF and Outlook
Please include in sync the "Show time as" field between both applications. It seems both have the same field values, and have the same impact on the calendar, but they're not synchornized...
Add option to hide currency on reports
Where currencies are reported, the currency symbol is repeated across all figures, often quite unnecessarily. I find this makes for a cluttered layout, where I always strive to create reports which draw the reader's eye to the important figures. Compare the attached screen shots. If the report is in original currency, couldn't that be stated on the header? I'm sure it could if it was in converted currency.
Obviously there are situations where you might want to show the currency, so a toggle on/off might be a good solution.
I would go further and re-suggest a hide zeros toggle too, for even greater clarity (see http://ideas.salesforce.com/article/show/64380/Add_a_hide_zeros_option_to_rep...)

Roll-Up Summary Field for Roll-Up Summary Fields
Allow the Roll-Up Summary field to total child Roll-Up Summary fields.
Increase the # fields that can be tracked for activity history
We keep bumping up against the 20 field limit and have to re-prioritize what to track, dropping one field in order to be able to add another. Raising the limit from 20 to 30 would help us.

Automatic Email Notification to Requestor if Event is Accepted or Declined
When an internal resource (person) is invited to attend a meeting, and they accept, although it shows up on the Calendar & Event, it would be extremely helpful if an email were sent to the requestor right away so that they know the resource (person) is available or not.
This way, if someone is checking their PDA or mail, without logging into SFDC, they would know immediately that the person was available for the meeting (extremely helpful in team selling environments).

Mark Reports with the Report Type that Created it
With so many Standard and Custom Report Types it can be extremely difficult to teach users how to "fish" and create reports for themselves. Have you ever tried troubleshooting a report someone has handed you when you have no idea which report type they started with? Let's make it simple and put the name of the report type somewhere in the report wizard, or at the very least on each report.
Yeah, I know, you could just send the example report to everyone and their Uncles, letting them deal with it. But really, wouldn't it be better to let them see the report type and say, "Okay, so THIS report type ain't got the fields I need."
