Email Documents to Salesforce Content
It would be great if an email documents to koral. For example, one could send and email to "content@salesforce.com" with the subject "tags 1, tag2, tagn" and the document description included as the email body. The attachment would be the file that is uploaded into koral.

Login As....any role, any profile
It would be excellent if administrators could login as any user role and profile combination to test out settings directly in the production environment.
This is similar to the functionality currently available where one can login as a user however
1. You wouldn't need to get the user to grant you access
2. You could test out role and profile combinations not yet assigned to a user
This would be extremely useful for verifying that users have visibility and functionality that they require BEFORE they complain that they don't have it.
Add option to hide currency on reports
Where currencies are reported, the currency symbol is repeated across all figures, often quite unnecessarily. I find this makes for a cluttered layout, where I always strive to create reports which draw the reader's eye to the important figures. Compare the attached screen shots. If the report is in original currency, couldn't that be stated on the header? I'm sure it could if it was in converted currency.
Obviously there are situations where you might want to show the currency, so a toggle on/off might be a good solution.
I would go further and re-suggest a hide zeros toggle too, for even greater clarity (see http://ideas.salesforce.com/article/show/64380/Add_a_hide_zeros_option_to_rep...)
Improve the search engine
The current search engine within salesforce typically only searches the name of the records (Opportunity Name, Account Name, etc.). It would be very nice if the search engine could pick out the keywords anywhere on the record. For instance, on this image I have attached, I can search the project ID/Job number if I know it. However, if I wanted to search for the Old Job Number (2007-CDN26), the search engine will not pick up 2007-CDN26.
I think it would be nice if the search engine searched all fields within a record.
Description Search
My organization often uses the description field as a free form "note keeping" section as well. As accounts, opportunitites or contacts change updated information is added there. I think it would be very valuable to be able to keyword search the content of the description fields from our entire database. For instance if my organization was looking for a fixed income trader, we could simply search the descriptions for "fixed income." All results would be possible networking opportuntities/prospecting opportunities because for some reaosn or another we have linked those people/accounts/opportunities with "fixed income." This idea would allow you to use salesforce not only to manage your sales efforts but begin prospecting/recruiting/developing new opportunities. Please share your thoughts.
Get rid of "Google Apps" ad on homepage
Make it so I can hide the "Google Apps" add in the top right corner on the home page.
My users feel that as paying customers, they shouldn't need to subject their users to seeing ads that don't apply to their business (feel Google Apps isn't compliant, etc). They feel it not only is unwarranted, but also creates an expectations gap between their users and project teams, as the project team may not be planning on implementing certain features advertised there.
I'm guessing the same would apply to the "Learn about Summer '08" etc ads that are sometimes displayed in that same spot - my users don't want their constituents to see it, but instead to present it to them themselves when warranted.
3 columns in page layout
To reduce scrolling and keep the contacts page as compact as possible it would be nice to have 3 columns (or even more) to display in the page layout. We use check boxes quite a bit and they could easily be displayed in more than 2 columns to save space.
Have an Identifier for when an Admin comments on an Idea
When users scroll through ideas, it would be great if there was an identifier in the list views that showed whether or not an Admin has commented on the idea.
Currently, in our salesforce ideas org, we actually post our comments by editing the idea itself, so users scrolling through ideas can see that we have commented without drilling down on each record. If this idea were implemented, we wouldn't have to edit the ideas, and users would be able to know what ideas we have commented on simply by scrolling through.
For me, this is most important in my Salesforce Ideas implementations however it would also be a great addition to the regular Ideas Exchange.
Dependent page layouts - Dynamically show, hide, or make fields/sections required on a page based on data rules
There are times when it would be ideal to show different fields or sections on a page based on field data. For example, if a field for "software interest" is selected on a lead page, it would be nice if a section and/or fields related to capturing more information on "Software" is displayed. If the field is not selected, then this section and/or fields remain hidden.
Allowing greater customization on the page level based on data rules would make for more manageable and targeted page layouts.
Ability to attach documents from Content to Emails
When emailing to contacts, leads, etc, we should have the option to attach a document that is loaded into the Content module. Much like what is done with files that are loaded into the document section.
Extended use of Hover
This is a small detail - however it prove quite useful:
When viewing the hierachy of an account, it would be cool if the hierachy could be displayed in a hover box - rater like the details when hovering an account or contact in the side panel. This would allow users to jump directly to another account in the hierachy rather than having to load the hierachy page itself.
Not Rocket Science - just a small suggestion...
Need Ability to Add More Than Two Columns to Layouts
Detail view layouts are not customizable enough. A few times I've needed to add a section to a page layout with 3 columns, but this is inexplicably not an option. I know it's possible because standard "Custom Links" section has 3 columns. Also would be nice to adjust field widths as mentioned in other posts.
