Make global merge field $Label available in APEX
In Visualforce you have the merge field $Label, which we use to make the application multilingual. It would be nice if that field also was available for error message in APEX etc.
Formating layous of standard address
We need a way to customize the standard address layouts like account's billing address, per page layout. E.g. for a layout used in US, the address contains <city>, <state> <zip> whereas in Germany it contains <zip> <city>.
Dated Exchange Rates to update Exchange Rate
The new Dated Exchange Rate feature is great. However, it would be very helpful if you, when updating the Dated Exchange rate was given the option of applying the rates to the normal currency rates. Right now you'll have to update in both places.
Display users' email address instead of user name
On AppEx mobile (WM5) users associated with objects on the PDA are down loaded with user name, first and last name and Active.
Instead of user name (or as well as) it would be beneficial if the user's email address was loaded and displayed, enabling you easily to send an email to that user.
Best case, of cause, would be if you can customize the user fields being loaded on the PDA.
Report category for Custom Report Types
Creating custom report types, you'll have to select one of the predefined report categories to store it. For many reports the most obvious is 'Other'.
It would be nice if you could create your own report categories to group reports according to the users expectations, not at least when you are creating report for custom objects.
Local search in Apex Mobile WM5
Some simple local search should be available in Apex Mobile (WM5). I believe something exists under other OSs. E.g. on the Account tab, sorted by name, it should be possible to select e.g. 's' to get only accounts starting with 's'.
Columns in list view in Apex Mobile
Adding a custom object to Apex Mobile does not enable you (on WM5) to customize the standard list view. Only the standard field Name is dispalyed.
I suggest you should be able to customize the standard list view for custom objects added
Hide Layout Sections in Mobile WM
In Apex Mobile on WM5, fields with NULL values are not displayed, not even their header. However, if the fields happen to be in a seperate Layout Section, the Layout Section is displayed. Clicking on it doesn,t'display anything. I suggest that if the Layout Section is empty, do not display the label at all.
Record Types on Asset object
I (still) wonder why the Asset object does not support Record Types. It would be uttermost beneficial for us if it did.
Additional languages for Apex Mobile
Please provide additional languages for Apex Mobile, i.e. the languages supported by the standard application.
My preferences are: Portuguese, German, Spanish, Russia
Make Asset available on AppEx Mobile
Our sales people heavily uses the Asset object to get an understanding of the customers’ situation and are required to update information about competitors’ equipment. Therefore it would be very beneficial if that object was available in the mobile application as well as in the Offline Edition.
Asset is basically the only SFA standard object not available. Of cause we could create a custom object, but that sort of defies the idea with the asset object.
Translation of standard button labels
Going to Setup -> Customize -> Tab Names .. you can translate quite a few standard labels. However, you cannot translate/rename standard buttons. Maybe add that to the section Other Labels.
My problem is that the term 'Log A Call' is US-English slag for a sales call. The imterpretation of the standard translation to Spanish and Portuguese makes users believe this is a Phone Call only.
