Exclude report footer when using Export Details to Excel
In reporting, when using the "Export Details to Excel" function, the generated report always contains a multi-line report footer. This footer is useful when reviewing reports in Excel, but it causes issues when you use that Excel file as an import file for another application.
How about a checkbox on the Export screen that you can select to "Exclude report footer"?

Agreed, it bugs when I work with the data in Excel. Same with the auto-filter feature. |

This would reduce a lot of importing mistakes. |

I would have this as an optional area/fields. |

A way to get exactly what is being requested here is to use Connect for Office. When you import your report to Excel select the option Raw Data and the filters will not be enabled, and there will be no extra info included at the end of the report. For me, having this information included is useful. It documents who ran the report and when if the extract is going to be circulated to other people - which is something that we do often. |

I use a macro to auto-fit my columns so the data is clearly visible. This footer always makes Column A far too wide... it's such a pain to have to delete it every time and makes my macro, well, useless. |

I''m a great fan of this idea. The choice to exclude the details, or possibly put the details of the list pulled on a 2nd sheet. I exports reports from OneSource that provide the list details on a 2nd sheet. |

It would be great to have this as a toggled option. |

From A legal requirement it is a good thing to have some of those comments there. Perhaps it could be removed from an admins. of exported data. |

Yeah I think we should have the option to include the footer or not. I actually use the footer on reports sent to clients, but inhouse we don't need it. |

Get Rid Of Automated Footer on CSV Report Extract
Because of limitations in Salesforce's reporting engine (too many rows, too many columns, limitations on printable view rows), there are times where I need to do data analysis work outside SF.com. For example, I might want to do analysis on 500K rows of data, which would require me to import the data into MS SQL
To keep my data clean at import, I need to go in and manually delete the automated footer that is placed at the end of the report (see picture). Although some of the files may be small and manageable, a 500K row (at a size of 50MB or more) csv file takes a long(!!) while to open up in Notepad. I'd like a way to suppress the footer either for all cases, or make it selectable as the report is exported. |

I agree this would be ideal to offer it as an option. There are times when having the footer is ideal especially if you are pulling the data on various occasions. |

I think the issue is that the info display at the bottom of spreadsheet. We then sort without removing this data. I would request to move it to the top and include the criteria. |

We find it out of order that this footer appears to copyright our data. SF do not have a copyright on Excel, the spreadsheet or the data contained, and they must already have copyright on their own side of the process. The "confidential information" clause implies it is the data itself - which belongs to us! So the copyright part should not be there, with or without a toggle. |

Remove footer for reports exported to Excel or .csv file
Give users the option to remove footer that is automatically populated at the bottom of report when exported to a Excel or .csv file. It's possible to upload this data into another application and the footer causes extra development to have it removed from each report.

Good Idea. We need this out of our reports as well. As a matter of fact: It is our data, so it is our copywright, not salesforce's |

Also the formatting has Merged Cells and Wrapped Text clicked on. Please take these "features" away please. Thx. |

I agree, this is our data. This should not even be there... |

Possibly include as an admin option to default to "do not include" |

It would also be nice to have a "hide filter criteria" option. For reports with multiple formula filter criteria, hiding the criteria from the standard users would be beneficial and help to avoid any confusion. |
