Right. Not just remove fields, but manage the standard reports. Now we have duplicate reports, one standard, and one custom that has one or two different fields. It would be nice to be able to edit the standard reports, or at least delete them. |

I'd be OK with just hiding the standard reports if it came down to it... but you get the drift =) |

How about just shutting off old report types, then allowing administrators to redirect a custom report based on a standard report type, to being based on a Custom Report Type with the same objects included? |

TT -- If I'm reading that properly, it sounds like you're asking if I would be ok with giving admins the ability to basically redirect the standard report type choice to flow through to a custom report type back end interface (where we define the fields.) This would be fine as the only standard report types we'd want to "hide" are the ones that would be duplicative. For any other custom report type, we could add it as you have it set up today. |

There would be two parts to the answer: 1) making standard report types hidden in the wizard (that's the first problem) 2) migrating existing custom reports made on standard report types over to a custom report type where an equivalent (same objects, fields used in reports available) exist number 1 is of course easier than 2... |
