Email a Task Reminder Versus just a Pop Up Window
Would like to be able to send an email reminder on the day of a task instead of just having a pop-up window reminder. Our sales force is not truly "mobile" with an integrated PDA at this time so they are requesting that reminders be emailed to them. Can this be done in conjuncion with the pop up reminder?

I believe these is a "send notification email" check box to the lower left of the comments window in edit view. |

Defintely, sending an email reminder is a must have. Send notification email is not the answer, this only sends the email when a task is created and not when the reminder is activated. Can this be developed? |

This would be very helpful for me. I have access to more that one Salesforce org although one is my primary org. In my primary org the pop-up alert is all that I need - or want. But for my secondary org it would be great to get an email reminder the day the task is due. |

What is really needed is allowing e-mail alerts on WorkFlow rules for tasks. Then you can send an e-mail alert 2 days before, on the due date, and another one 2 days after due date or whatever you want. http://ideas.salesforce.com/article/show/69399/Allow_email_alerts_for_a_Task_... |
