Mobile phones are getting better at displaying Internet pages, but the salesforce.com site is still a major challenge. Our Execs & VPs want to be able to look up information without dragging out their laptops, or waiting for 5 minutes for their blackberry to load the salesforce login screen.
Apex Mobile is fine for users that own records, but it isn't helpful for corporate management since they don't own any of the records. The salesforce.com website should be able to be optimized for mobile devices.
SFDC's partnerships with Google should be leveraged, and a joint effort should be kicked off to bring the salesforce.com site to Internet capable mobile devices.
