Reassign Group Events

Currently it is impossible to reassign a Group Event to another user. SFDC believe that if the current owner cannot do the event then neither can the invitees, and therefore should be deleted.

This is not realistic, there are numerous reasons why we would want to re-assign a group event just the same as a regular event.

The current workaround given is to delete the existing event and then create a new one in the new owner's name. This is obviously unacceptable.

Please provide the functionality to re-assign Group Events.

jrae May 2	In our organization this happens quite frequently. A resource is assigned to a group event (like training) where the invitees are the students, if the resource is assigned incorrectly, or is otherwise not available, the event needs to be reassigned to a different resource, but the invitees remain the same. Why would this restriction exist?

Currently if you create a group event on the calendar - you cannot remove it from YOUR calendar without it being deleted from all other SF users, nor can you reassign it to another user to manage. Thus, you have to delete it & re-create it OR Remove all the invitee's Reassign it Add all your attendees back Either way - what a pain Allow us the ability to reassign group events!
