Allow email alerts for a Task Workflow Rule

When a user assigns a task to someone, s/he can send a notification email. The user who assigns the task should also be able to get an email alert when the assigned task has been completed to follow-up as necessary. Currently, Salesforce only allows a follow up task on a completed task worklow rule and then only to the task owner, not even the account owner.

AnneRenault 06/20/07	Hi! I would love it too as I have the same issue. I would love to have it on events too, for example when a sales director wants to be informed of all apoointments happening at client XYZ. Regards Anne

What if you wanted to notify another team member that a task was completed, or that an important email or call had been posted on an account? Think of all the account visibility you could have across departments if task posting (i.e. an email is added to salesforce) or task completion could trigger an immediate email notification to other team members that an email, call or completed task occurred.
agassi 11/12/07	To add, it would also be useful to be able to trigger an email when a specific task or event reminder is set at a specific time. Most use Blackberries and not often in front of a PC logged into SF so when a reminder is triggered, an email is sent and the person is reminded no matter where they are. Or is this possible now?
