Link price books to accounts (account specific price books)

In case of corporate agreements on prices, we need to ensure that all deals with the business in the cooperation are base on the agreed price book. Salesforce should allow to define price books that are account specific, and ensure that only these price books can be used for Opportunities related to this account.

Jashugan 10/04/07	I use a picklist and manually update the price book names when they change. After that I use a lot of custom S-Controls to make sure that product prices are coming out of the Account's Price Book.

We have special pricing for clients that do a certain level of business with us and it would be great to have those prices/price book automatically selected when adding products.

davecz May 23	Rik, I agree 100%. It is a real problem of not being able to tie price books to accounts. If anyone has a suggestion for a workaround (a minimum would be a validation to check that a correct price book has been selected), I would be really grateful.
davecz May 23	I have just asked a SalesForce rep whether it is on their product road map and this the response: "Unfortunately I do not see this on our Product Road Map as of yet. I apologize if this causes any inconvenience. If you have any further questions regarding this issue please let me know."
