Small Business Edition

In the coming months salesforce.com is considering a new product aimed at the millions of small businesses around the world. Our goal would be to provide a service that helps these companies acquire new customers, increase sales, and grow their business. What might we call this new product?

TomaszOczapowski 05/05/07	JG, it might be helpful to list all editions (incl Personal and Team) to help select the right name. I can see how some customers will confuse SB Edition with Team Edition.
Tannic 05/07/07	Why have another edition? Why not just rename Team Edition to Small Business Edition and give it some real power? I worry that SalesForce is going the way of MSFT and is going to have a way to confusing product line.
5th_Wheel_Steve 05/07/07	I think the intent is to replace Team Edition is it not? SB Edition is clean and concise... Just make sure it is enabled sufficiently so we don't have to call it the carrot edition.... I am still trying to justify an upgrade to Enterprise from Professional to Senior Management... They see the rewards, they just aren't quite ready to pony up the dough...... So much to do, so many workarounds required......

hemm 05/14/07	This is best. Just tell it like it is. Using this name won't require Salesforce to explain who it's for. The name says it all. Regarding Personal and Team Edition. In my opinion, the Personal Edition should go away and the Team Edition should become free/very cheap. That should be the entry level. Don't charge per user, just charge a flat rate. If someone wants to use it for 1 person, so be it.
