mail merge to PDF
I think it'd be great if the salesforce MAIL MERGE fucntionality had the ability to merge data into a PDF document with fields, not just a Microsoft Word document.

Conga Mail Merge On Demand performs batch mail merge, activity logging and offers a PDF output option. It's on the AppExchange. There's a free version now, too. |

It would be great to be able to generate documents on Power Point as well. |

I too use CongaMerge - they actually have a product in Beta included with their PointMerge & Mail Merge that allows you to populate a PDF field rather than just output to a regular pdf. This allows you to map fields from salesforce to your PDF form. |

actually any kind of Mail Merge that doesn't require Internet Explorer would be desired, PDF creation preferred. |

I want to be able to populate individual fields of a PDF form from my SF data. Does CongaMerge have that functionality now? From what I've seen, it appears that it only can populate Word and Excel templates. |

Sending stuff to customers is key in CRM implementations, and PDF is a standard. It fits 100 percent to me! Great idea. |

I just tried another product on the Appexchange called Cloud PDF - this works great for merging salesforce data into already existing PDF templates. |

Our LOOPlus service merges any Salesforce data into not only PDF, but also Word, PowerPoint and Excel. Regarding browsers, LOOPlus, is compatible with Internet Explorer (all versions) and Firefox (all versions) on both PCs and Macs. Search the AppExchange for LOOP. |
