The Formula Field Exchange
What if there were an area on AppExchange for Formula Fields that was INTEGRATED right into the wizard used to create Formula Fields?
Who knows more about how to write formulas than ALL of the other formula writers using salesforce.com?
Writing formula fields isn't easy. Sometimes that's because you can't think of where to start, sometimes it's because there's a trick or approach that you haven't seen before. If you could leverage the great formula fields written by others you'd be much more likely to be a successful formula field writer.

I like this idea for a couple of reasons. 1, it makes life easier. 2. When things like these are posted to the AppExchange, a lot of times, people bundle them with tabs that explain them and put them together in an App. the problem is, when I choose to use that App, it now goes against my limit for Apps and custom tabs when really it's just a custom formula. |

I think this is a fantastic idea. Why reinvent the wheel with custom formulas? Chances are that someone has already made a formula for what you want to do, or at least something similar. Being able to share those simple resources would be a huge productivity boost for Salesforce.com users at all levels. |

This is a very good Idea. Also the community board is not that easy to go through... If they just had a place where there was a list of formulas and what the formulas do (please use laman terms) it would make my life very very good |

Brilliant, but why stop at formulas and S-Controls. I also agree with RK, this should also be made available for S-controls and (perhaps) other Apex modules. |
