Send a Fax from Salesforce

Sending a fax from Salesforce in a similar fashion as we can send an e-mail would be useful for contacting customers that don't have or would prefer not to be contacted by e-mail. It'd be nice if it would then log the activity in a similar fashion as e-mail as well.

I know that there are some AppExchange solutions for receiving e-mail, but this is the reverse of that, and just sending of e-mail.

Keyword 03/22/07	I couldn't agree more. A lot of our clients prefer faxes, and it would be great if we could send them directly from Salesforce. That way they would also be logged right in Salesforce as well. This doesn't seem like it would be hard for Salesforce to do.
JSMarketing 04/12/07	This is something my staff could definitely use. We send more faxes than e-mails and it would save so much time if the information was pulled right into a fax template and sent with the click of a button. My staff's productivity would skyrocket.
jasonlk 04/13/07	Just FYI, this will be available in a next release of EchoSign for Salesforce/AppExchange. Both basic send to fax, and also the whole process of e-mail to fax ... then to fax-sign and fax auto-routed back into Salesforce as PDF.
smollins 05/16/07	I would be very helpful in our organization. I have been looking for a faxing solution that fits our need of basic faxing out of Salesforce (allowing a history to be automatically entered and tracked) and the ones that I have found on AppExchange are a little bit overkill for what we need. To have a basic faxing feature available in Salesforce similar to the emailing capablity you wouldn't think would be too difficult to develop. The benefits would add that much more value to the product.
jasonlk 07/20/07	This is now implemented in EchoSign as of our last release. You can send a contract or other document out not only via email but also to any fax #, from any Contact/Lead/Opportunity etc. and the doc will automatically be associated therewith. If signed and faxed back, the signed copy will also automatically PDF and route back to the Contact/Lead/Opp etc.
