Marketing Influence Reporting for Campaigns
Campaign reporting allows users to measure the value of Opportunity pipleine that came directly from marketing Campaigns. Another very important measure for a marketing organization is the amount of "influence" that they have on the pipeline. Influence, in this example, is defined as Opportunities in which the Contacts on the Opportunity were touched by a Campaign, but where the Opportunity did not originate from a Campaign. An example of this would be as follows. A salesperson creates their own new Opportunity through basic prospecting. They uncover 3 Contacts and list them on their Opportunity. These three Contacts later attend a trade show (one Campaign) and attend a live web presentation (a second Campaign). This example Opportunity would not show using traditional salesforce.com Campaign reporting. However, it is an Opportunity that was "influenced" by Campaigns. I would like to be able to report on this type of an Opportunity. All major marketing consultants recommend that marketing organizations report on influence. I don't believe that this level of reporting is possible using Salesforce.com today.

I agree, this is a much needed feature. Today, there is an available AppExchange download called Marketing Influence Report. The report download is placed as a Custom Link on your Opportunity record. The report provides great information. HOWEVER, this only works from within the Opportunity record. I would ike to see this same flexibility on a grander scale, and also allow filters to be applied to the Opportunity (i.e. Stage, Close Date, Amount) - none of which are available on the downloaded report today. It would be helpful to have a report showing all Opportunities (with or without a Campaign Source) and all the influences from the Contacts at the related Account (or even just those selected in the Contact Role section of the Opportunity). This reporting ability is long overdue. |

I have been asking for this functionality for 4+ years (at my former company as well as with my current company - both of which are/were SFDC users). This is really important stuff. I hope that it will be implemented soon. |

Nice feature, but I'm missing something. Please give us the possibility to set different time frames for different campaign types in the campaign influence feature, e.g. I want to set a short time frame for e-mailings and a longer time frame for client events. Actualy I only can set one time frame that is the same for all campaign types. Here is my idea http://ideas.salesforce.com/article/show/10093665/Different_Campaign_Influenc... |
