JG - you'll be happy to know that Appirio has accepted your challenge, and created a series of 4 Google Gadgets that you can now add to your Google homepage! They install with 1 click - just visit http://www.appirio.com/downloads/google_gadgets.php. We thought this was a cool idea - a form of "open market" product management - which we've blogged about at http://www.appirio.com/blog/2007/05/google-gadgets-for-salesforcecom-power.html. |

That's great news. I installed it and it works perfect. Well done. |

Have a question though - is this fully secured? I hope our account password are not being sent to anybody. |

Great question, many Google Gadgets are not secure because the default settings do not have strong security. But Appirio has taken many precautions to ensure all communications are encrypted and secure. Appirio does not even capture information on the actual users, only the domains they are a part of. The passwords are not sent to anyone and even Appirio does not have access to your username/passwords. Our gadgets have been certified by salesforce and undergone their full security review (http://wiki.apexdevnet.com/images/b/b1/Appx_Certification_Welcome_Kit.PDF ) |

I imagine it should work well but I just get : INVALID_LOGIN: Invalid username, password, security token; or user locked out. I've reset the token and applied the new one in the setup for the gadget, but it still doesn't work. Potentially this approach is as useful as the Salesforce Console - way to go! |
