Add number of pages to search result

I would like to be able to see how many results and/or how many pages with results are generated with a View or with a Search.

Currently the users can only see that there are more than one page with search results (because of the <previous /> links), but there is no indication of how many results and/or how many pages there are.

This would be most helpful.

mikelikeme 12/01/06	I could not belive that this feature was not available, it is very rudimentary that people want to know what is ahead in their tasks.

Currently I can do a search on a customer (account) and it may pull back 100 results on multiple pages. It would be great to see how many results were actually pulled back instead of having to count the pages and multiply by the number in the view.
lmh 10/15/07	The total of the results is really needed. Currently, it simply shows: Previous Page (1-25) Next Page This gives no indication of whether there are only 27 total results for 327. It would be excellent if it showed, for example, (1-25 of 197). This has been confusing to many of my users as they simply notice the 25 when they are in a hurry and don't realize they have to continue to look through each page. And there is no way for them to know how many pages there are.

For example, I created a view of a sales rep's opportunities and would like to see the total of the pipeline. I understand that I can run reports, but sometimes it's just easier to use a view.

gwylie02122008 Jun 23	correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think this has been delivered. Yes, we now have record counts & page numbers in Enhanced Lists but not in Search Results which was the original request. Thanks Gillian

EW Jul 2	gwylie: The record count indicator has been delivered for list views, but you are correct - the search results page does not yet have this capability. I'll remove the "Delivered" status and make sure the appropriate product manager sees the request. Thanks!
