Disregard. Eventually found this previous post on the same topic: "If Outlook doesn't find a match in Salesforce.com, let me create a new lead/contact" posted to Desktop Solutions by chris925 Oct 7 |

If you'd like an immediate solution to this you should have a look at two apps on the AppExchange: AddressGrabber: http://www.salesforce.com/appexchange/detail_overview.jsp?id=a0330000002NnMeAAK< http://www.salesforce.com/appexchange/detail_overview.jsp?id=a03300000022vNBAAY |

An automated agent for creating sales leads from email sent to a sales@... address might be useful. Similar to the email2case agent. |

email2lead is an interesting concept that we might look at. Could be very useful feature. |

I have a client right now that wants this functionality. Also similar to the email2case is the built-in ability to send emails out FROM the supported email addresses. For instance this company manages several domain names and need the ability to send email from multiple addreses based on the type of email going out. This is supported for email2case enabled addresses on outgoing emails from the case object. |

We have a prospective customer who has "inbound email 2 lead" as a high priority. Surprised there isn't an AppExchange solution for it yet... |

The entire Franchise community would love Salesforce for this!!! We advertise our opportunities on sites other than our own and need a way to push these email leads into SF. Most web portals are not willing to add any html language to their pages for us.....so this would be huge for the industry. |

I am a franchisor and I am trying to determine if saleforce.com offers this functionality before extending our 30 day trial. This would be great. There is a product in the market email2DB.com which may offer us a way to semi-automate the process... |

sf.com has email to case. email to lead should be a no-brainer. |

It's available but only to Enterprise and above Subscribers, which is pretty frustrating really because those subscribers already have the Apex email Services available to them. What about the subscribers that can't yet afford the additional subscription fees but probably could harness considerably more sales by having limited but similar email lead capturing functionality. Surely if this was offered to PE users then maybe before too long they would be uplifting their subscriptions to Enterprise and above, or is Salesforce a little too short sighted for such considerations? |
