Allow Workflow Alerts on Activity Workflow Rules

It would be nice to associate Activity Workflow Rules with Workflow Alerts. Currently, only Workflow Tasks can be associated with Activity Workflow Rules. There are many situations where it would be useful to send email when a task or event is scheduled, updated, or closed.

jgad 11/07/06	It actually shocked me to learn that SF doesn't have the ability to issue a notification when an assigned Task is completed. How is the assignor supposed ot know that it's done. In fact, you cannot even create a Workflow alert to accomplish this task.
James_McGill 01/09/07	Agreed. This is a significant oversight that prevents SFDC from effectively being used for project management.
Gabe 02/15/07	Yeah, this is shocking. Why would you not want to send an email to a user when a new task is created or an existing task is modified? This is a big oversight and we would love to see this feature implemented, too!

4watties 03/30/07	Yes, this is pretty amazing. I would love to be able to send an email alert to the user listed in the Assigned To field when a task priority is set to "High" or "Urgent". Just can't believe it isn't in SFDC already. Big oversight.
cpierre Sep 8	In March of 2007 it was noted this was on the SF roadmap... we're nearing 18 months and no sight of it? Can I vote 1000 more times?
