remove logo

I'm surprised to discover that upon reviewing the capabilities of the self-service portal offered as part of our package, I cannot remove the "powered by SalesForce" logo from the center of 'every' page. We would like to take advantage of this added functionality and open this up to some of our customers, but are hesitant to do so with your logo in the center of the page/service.

Amie_Szlachetka 11/01/06	I agree with this. I would like to be able to remove the "powered by salesforce" logo from any outbound objects including update records, etc. These are my customers, not SFDC and some recipients are hesitant to respond thinking it is some kind of spam.
RikvdW 11/07/06	I agree, it is a bit strange that SFDC allows you to personalize the self-service portal in such a way that it is an integral part of your web site, and then have the "powered by Salesforce" message on every page!
PeterJCooper 11/07/06	I agree strongly, there is even some confusion amongst SFDC staff on this one - I have been told a few times over the last two years that there is an option to chages this already but there is not. Listen to your paying customers salesforce.com - ditch the logo and let them run this important channel to their business the way they want. Same applies to print outs from various other parts of the system. Cheers, Peter.
warrenlester 11/08/06	This can already be achieved by editing the fonts and color settings for the portal. Edit the "Logo" visual element style to read: BORDER-COLOR: #DDDDDD; BORDER-STYLE: solid; BORDER-WIDTH: 1px; display: none;
Mason 11/09/06	Wow, THANKS warrenlester! We deployed this change on our custom style sheet and it works like a charm... in IE. In Firefox, however, the accursed logo remains. Any thoughts on this? Thanks again!
shippers 11/29/06	Great tip - thanks. The logo still appears on the Printable View for solutions. Anyone any ideas on how to remove it from there? Thanks
holland44 01/09/07	Yes, I would like to remove the salesforce logo from the printable view as well...this is exposed to the self-service users and does not allow the salesforce.com intergration to be seemless.
MichaelRobinson 01/30/07	Not only am I surprised to find that I can't remove the Salesforce logo, I'm frustrated and dissapointed to find that Salesforce would do this. As though implementing their product isn't difficult enough, I have to spend hours hunting around for solutions to problems they've deliberately created. Everyone uses Firefox, especially with all of the problems IE7 has caused everyone, so if the style solution doesn't work in Firefox, it won't work for us. It's 11:24pm and I'm still looking...
MWillson 02/28/07	I totally agree - for a solution that is supposed to be "white label" and let you run your business, having the Salesforce.com logo on the Public Knowledgebase and Web Portal is nearly a dealbreaker. I'll have to find out if NetSuite does the same thing.

saariko 05/20/07	SalesForce have cancelled this option and the : display: none; is no longer available. For a service we pay thousands of dollars for, I demand to remove this label. If you want to use my web space for advertisment, sure, I will quote you on that. I am using the self service portal on my website, if you don't remove your logo, I will send you a quote. NERF

RikvdW 05/22/07	According to Salesforce Support:"If you want to remove the SFDC logo on Self-Service Portal, go to: Setup \| Customize \| Self-Service \| Self-Service Portal \| Fonts and Colors Edit (Theme) \| Edit (Home Page) \| Edit (Logo) \| click here to define custom style sheets Remove the default code and place the following code in its place: DISPLAY: NONE; VISIBILITY: HIDDEN; This can be done for all style sheets except for the one called Default" If you use your own ccs file, add: .logo { DISPLAY: NONE; VISIBILITY: HIDDEN; }
saariko 05/27/07	Just contact the SF support team (submit a case) and the logo will be removed. It can also be removed from the printable pages on the solutions page. Just need to ask, I did.
LogoJon 07/20/07	I hope they can remove it from Web to Case and the Public Knowledge Base iFrames as well. Does anyone have any experiences with this?

mads Aug 13	The idea posted by RikvdW does indeed work! I can confirm this :) (Only found it to work for the self-service site though, not for the public knowledge base)
