Modify/Delete Campaign Members
Working with campaign members currently is a bit painful and circuitous. I would like to be able to list all campaign members on a screen and add, modify status or delete without going back and forth. Also, you cannot currently delete a campaign user at all.

Apparently you can delete a campain member, but you must add the Campaign Member related list item to the contact and go to the contact to delete them. This is circuitous and still painful. Let's do it all from one screen please. |

It is very tedious to delete campaign members. I have to go and individually delete people, yet it is so easy to add 100 wrong ones at once. |

You can mass delete campaign members using the excel connector or data loader. All you need are the campaign member IDs. |

APW, can you please explain how you use Connect for Excel or the Data Loader to remove campaign members? Thanks so much! |

egjermey - inside the excel connector you simply pick the campaign member as the object and the campaign member ID as your field. Put all the member IDs in this column that you want removed from the campaign and then click "delete objects" from the excel connector drop down. That will remove the relationship between the campaign and the lead or contact. |

While this is a workaround, it is still much more painful than it needs to be (open an external program, select the SQL queries, delete the relationship, etc.). Having this directly in SFDC would be much better. |

I agree, this should be added in the product road map. |

oh thank heaven...I have been using a ridiculous workaround I 'figured out', using the Data Loader and Excel. I constantly need to take people off the Campaign that have already come to a seminar (a custom object), or that have already responded to a previous Campaign... this involves some major back and forth that will hopefully be eliminated! |

Any chance this will include better integration between campaigns and Person Accounts? |

There is a fundamental problem with Person Accounts and Campaigns that I haven't seen mentioned yet: CampaignMember reports report on "Company", which is just the Account Name, which obviously does not make sense for Person Accounts. This severely cripples the functionality of these reports for Person Account users. So can we have more details on how this release will improve the use of Campaigns for Person Account users? |

Any news on this feature? Has it been released for Winter 09 or not? |

What about mass adding existing leads from a campaign to a new campaign? Would this be considered part of this idea or should I create a new idea for this? This was the closest idea I could find for this. Currently if I've got a campaign with 10,000 leads that I'd like to add to a new campaign I need to create a view that includes the leads from it, check all, click next page, and repeat until all pages were added. Since a page can only contain 250 leads that means I need to repeat that process 40 times which is very tedious. This scenario happens often at my organization since we'll create a seperate campaign for each email a person receives so if we plan our email marketing so that a set of leads gets one email a month for 5 months it becomes very difficult to do. But in order to track this properly it seems this is the only way it can be done. Support said the way i'm doing this is the only and best way. |

ezfacility - Since this particular Idea has been delivered, I'd suggest that you create a new Idea for yours (so that you can get credit for it) and provide a link here so that other users viewing this Idea will know to go to the new Idea and vote for it. ~IdeaExchange Program Manager |

I just posted a similar Idea regarding Mass Adding Existing Leads from a Campaign to a new Campaign. If you are interested please check it out and promote it! http://ideas.salesforce.com/article/show/10093971/Mass_Adding_Existing_Leads_... |
