Customize the REQUEST AN UPDATE
Heya!
I was devastated - DEVASTATED to learn that you cannot customize a single field in the "request and update" feature.
There's really not point to request an update if you can't customize it! Every business here has a different niche - and that means custom fields in the account and contact section. We desperately need to be able to do this!
I love the idea of being able to send a request for an update to a person's contact information. But it's useless to me at the moment. What I really need to be able to do is have that update come back to me with the information I need.
The idea of the customer updating their own info and the saleforce user coming back to see it updated is FABULOUS! But you have to let the saleforce user determine which fields they need!
As a nonprofit, I get giddy with the idea. I could add checkboxes that would allow customers to be able to click their way into newsletters and task forces, the options are endless.
