opportunity object fields in the opportunity history report

When creating a report on opportunity history, only history fileds are available whether in the columns selection screen or in the filter screen. We need to be able to show opportunity fields in the report and / or filter on opportunity fields.

InQuisitiveJ 02/10/07	In our scenario, inside sales creates most opportunities. Field reps, though, own the opportunities. For compensation purposes, we want to be able to track pipeline milestones for opportunities created by the inside sales reps. The Opportunity History report, though, does not allow filtering on the Created By field, which makes this difficult to do.
nbatyko 07/18/07	Merged Idea originally posted 03/27/07 Current Stage on Opportunity History Reports It would be very useful to have, simply, the "Stage" (the current Stage) field as an option in Opportunity History reports. The only available options are, "From Stage" and "To Stage," but we cannot report, or even show, what current Stage the Opportunity resides.
