Conference and Event Management App

We are developing a Conference and Event Management App that integrates into SalesForce.

The idea is that a Salesforce user can manage the whole event process, from promotion through to ticketing and attendee management.

Our current online registration & ticketing system (www.madeit.com) would form the foundation for the salesforce app, with promotion on one end (eg. Email blasts about
events, list management and lead management, ticketing and then managing
the actual attendees).

Any thoughts, feedback, suggestions or even expressions of interest would help us to shape the product.

This is something I am seeing gaining traction as well in our marketing department. Salesforce developed their own event management system using sites and custom app to manage Dreamforce 2008. On the font end they used sites to provide an app to Dreamforce attendees to manage their Dreamforce experience and on the back end a custome Event manager app. There were some questions in this last dreamforce about Salesforce making their event management app available on the AppExchange but no promises were made.
