Have some type of way to identify trusted users. Those users that provided the best answers, their certification level.

Hi fifedog, Could you expand a bit more on where you'd be looking for that ranking information? Is it in the forums where you could say filter for answers from a more highly rated expert over a less highly rated one? Or maybe would you want to seek out people according to their ranking? (Find me all the experts on Territory Management) |

I think that the forums already do this to some extent, based on the number of answers that someone has provided. Who do you envision would govern/administer this? |

Part of this idea is rooted in the idea that we want users to "earn" a rank based on involvement, forum posts, correct answers, Ideas implemented, being in a user group, certification, etc. The closest thing I can relate it to is what Jive Forums was(is) like where forum admins can setup that each "involvement" adds to their rank and kind of adds up to their "reputation" which can also be used for programs such as rewards from Salesforce. The Idea referenced above is part of this idea, but not as encompasing as this one. This type of ranking has to do with overall community involvement and participation. |
