Allow Field Updates with Assignment Rules
Our Lead Assignment is determined by both Territory and Lead owner. Currently we have to maintain two sets of rules to assign leads properly. We maintain the territory assignment rules using workflow and the lead owner using lead assignment.
If the lead assignment rules allowed the ability to update the territory field (custom field), we would only have to maintain one set of rules.

I agree. I run several workflow rules to update a field enters Salesforce. I I could choose to let the assignment rules follow these workflow rules, it would be a lot easier |
