It'd be nice if in the "Edit Page Layout Assignment" screen if you could assign a VisualForce page to a particular RecordType / Profile combination.
I've been trying to have one particular RecordType/Profile go to a specific VisualForce page, where all the rest have standard Page Layouts, and I've been struggling for weeks on it.

Agree wholeheartedly. After spending all the time creating Record types to now have major problems creating a page for 1 type's view. VF is a great tool but a year later it's still at either: "do very simple things with it - admin" or "do anything with it - true IT developer". It needs more 'in between' levels for IT-able admins who don't code in their sleep. |

Promoted. Even us "IT Developers" who code in our sleep like a little simplicity, now and then. =) |

Besides, I've been struggling for a few weeks to figure out how to code this, and while I'm not a master of Apex/VisualForce, this is something that I think I should be able to do a whole lot easier. |

Makes much sense. I support introducing this feature. |
