Let customers agree to Safe Harbor statement PRIOR to events

I was just sitting in a breakout session here at Dreamforce '08, and I sat through the introduction of the Salesforce Safe Harbor statement for the 1,000,000th^2 time. Then it hit me, couldn't I just be required to sign something online (in the Dreamforce registration portal perhaps?) prior to the conference saying:

"I have read and comprehended this Safe Harbor statement, and I don't need to have it shown to me in all the sessions"

then we all wouldn't have to sit through the same Safe Harbor statement shtick in every single session that we attend!!

You could extend this capability to other events (Success Tour, Tour de Force, etc.) to save valuable time in the presentations there as well.

AlexCRMmanager 11/05/08	@eric_humphre, I posted it there as well, but the Dreamforce ideas are moderated (don't get posted until the admin allows), and they don't allow photos to be uploaded there.
fifedog 11/06/08	So what then would you have to do, what about those people that didn't sign it electronically? I doubt there is a 100% registration via the portal so the logistics on this I think isn't the effort for the time saving of 15 secs. (but yes if you want to argue 15 secs of each 50 people that attended is... so be it but still... it comes with the territory. my 2 cents
AlexCRMmanager 11/07/08	@fifedog, I'm pretty sure that everyone was required to register through the portal, but if they didn't, you could also get them to agree to it at the registration desk. For the online viewers of the keynote, just require them to agree to it before the join the webcast. They usually spend about 1-2 minutes on the Safe Harbor statement in both the keynote and most of the sessions, so if you multiply 1-2 minutes times the 6-9K people in each keynote, plus all of the breakout sessions, that adds up to a lot of wasted man-hours (and valuable wasted presentation time) ...
