I would like to see a separate area in the program added for merging accounts. I find it a real pain to have to continuously go back to the account main page, scroll to the bottom and click merge accounts. It would be really nice to have a separate area in the program for merging so that when you are done with one record you can just be sent back to the page to enter another account, contact, lead name and keep going.

Is this idea similiar? http://ideas.salesforce.com/article/show/22459/Dupe_Alerts If you read all the posts people are asking for Account/Contact/Lead Duplicate Warning and also the ability to actually manage existing duplicates. |

Hrm, looks like the new formatting of the IdeaExchange is cutting off most of the text in my reply. Send me an email at alex.sutherland at crm-manager.net and I'll be glad to email you a copy of the instructions that I tried to post above! |

What I am looking for is a way to merge all the dup account, leads and contacts but also to not be kicked back to the original page when I am finished with one merge... |

@tinal the code that I posted (but is being hidden by this new page styling) would keep you from being kicked back to the Account tab home page when using the Merge Accounts wizard. Feel free to contact me for details on how to implement it... |
