Attach file to opportunity when sending e-mail from Salesforce

We want our sales reps to save quotes and agreements in SF and we want them also to send them from SF to be able to use templates.

Today they must upload the file to the e-mail and once again upload the file the opportunity and that's not effectively.

Today it's easier if the they send the e-mail from Outlook and relate the file to the opportunity but then we miss the benefits by using templates.

Please SF, make sure that you can upload the document in the e-mail and save at the same time in the opportunity or case etc.

hemm 11/01/08	Either auto attach the email attachment to an Opportunity OR allow a user to choose existing Opportunity attachments when sending an email from an Opportunity. The latter would let a user attach the important document to the Opportunity first and then CHOOSE to use it in an email. If you do the reverse (automatically attach email attachments to the Opportunity), you could clutter up the Opportunity record.

happygirl 11/03/08	I would take a look at Conga Mail Merge it may help with part of the process and it is really inexpensive. Obviously, I agree this should be part of Salesforce but until then it maybe worth the $12 per month to use Conga. My company purchased and we love it.
