Need ability to report on Case Team members

Winter'09 introduced the concept of Case teams, and I've been testing it in our Sandbox. Neat feature, thank you!

Release notes warn "Currently, you cannot report on case teams".

This is must-have functionality, so that users can run reports that show what Cases they have been a team member on, and so managers can show how more easily track the number of resources involved in a Case.

Consider this Idea as a request to expedite report functionality for the new Case Team feature.

linda_webster 10/08/08	A new AppExchange plugin called DataFusion may be able to help. It lets you get info in one step instead of navigating through tabs or creating special reports. You can say "show cases, John Doe" to see all the cases associated with John Doe (along with all the related accounts, tasks, leads, etc.). It also shows information from notes. Right now the app. is still in free beta.
sjborland 11/26/08	We have the same problem. We are using text files and cutting a pasting strings made up of 20-30 alias owners (depending upon product and regional teams) into the report. Then everytime we have a new employee we update the text file and have to cut'n'paste this to 60-70 team based reports. Common SFDC, let us link to a field on the employee contact record. This way we could define the region and team and use these values on our case reports.
happygirl 12/01/08	One other thing I would like to add is when you report on Case Teams that it reports as follows; 1. List Case (Once) 2. Then List the Many Team Members Knowing how Salesforce works with other items such as Case Comments is they would let you report on it however it would show the case the same amount of team members so it looks like (5) cases. Please find a good reporting solution for printing "many" items under a single case, opportunity, etc. Similiar to Opportunity Line Items.. THANKS

sourbyteideas 3 days ago	This would be extremely useful! Create a team, and report on agents performance on that team? There's no other reason to create those teams without being able to report on them for our ORG.
